Sussex Place Sports Bar

I live in a neighboring community and have always felt that Sussex Place was a great place to hang out. If you're looking for live music, cover charges, and over priced drinks, not the place to go. You can get together with friends without the pressure of looking GQ to get into a bar. It's a normal place for normal people. Drinks are priced fairly and mixed well. (As long as you get them from Chuck or Chad). Lisa is also a great bartender and, not too mention, very easy on the eyes. It's never too crowded, and you can always catch a game on the huge projection screen. As far as bars go in the area, SP is right at the top! Sussex Place is a great place to go and have fun. The atmosphere is great whether it's crowded or not. On Saturday's Chad is one of the best bartenders, he keeps the party going and makes sure that everyone is having a good time. We like to go to play darts and pool, there hasn't been a time that wasn't fun and enjoyful! Pros: Bartenders friendly service more

This place is the best bar Sussex has to offer. It has great food and great prices. Specials like all you can eat crab legs and their prime rib, make this a great place to get food and have a good time. At night the crowd is diverse and a lot of fun. On top of that, there is some eye candy behind the bar. If you stop in at night, Chad is the bartender to go to. He has fun behind the bar and is still able to deliver great service. I always have the best time when I come to Sussex Place Sports Bar!!! Because of the dart boards, pool tables, and video games, there is a lot to do to keep the night going strong. There is an excellent selection of music and plenty of room to dance. I do not believe that this bar is very crowded at all... I have never had a hard time finding a place to dance there. Also the food is great, I recommend the chicken tenders! Another thing I like about this bar, is that everyone is so friendly, guest and bartenders. The service is fast, unlike most bars where you are trying to get the bartender's attention. I also like that the bartenders suggest shots and different drinks, in case you want to try something different. A good example of the bartenders going above and beyond, is I asked for a shot (I dont remember what one) and they didn't know how to make it. However, that didn't stop them. They went in the back and looked it up online and it was fantastic. 100% I would recommend this bar to anyone. It is a Guaranteed good time:) more

Commenting on one of the reviews, Chad is an exceptional bartender. He knows how to make drinks and is quite nice. This particular person must have upset Chad one way or another. As being an ex-bartender, I would have done the same thing Chad did. Everyone that works at the bar always has great service and manners. Great food for the price. Volleyball courts are awesome. They have pool tables, dart boards, and video games, so you can do something other than sitting at the bar watching T.V. If watching T.V. and chatting with the bartenders is your sort of thing, then this is your place as well. Pros: Great service and excellent surroundings more

A great place to come and hang out, have a few drinks and get a great meal. The staff are friendly and the crowd is too. 3 indoor sand volleyball courts and 2 outdoor courts make it a great venue for parties and large groups. A diverse crowd of all ages is sure to make your experience a good one. And one last thing, I think Chad is a great bartender and so do most of the other patrons. The place is a great place to go with quite a huge bar. The bartenders were very friendly, except for Chad , who only would serve you if he felt like it. The television set seemed more important to him and one more thing, he seems to be more of a babysitter than a bartender. Chuck was friendly and seemed to take care of everyone especially those who Chad would avoid. Stephanie was a true champ. This woman can poor a drink with an added smile, something rare today. The bathrooms were clean and the open dinette eating area was also clean. The place has an indoor volleyball courts (3). Outdoor courts as well (2). The only drink they could not poor was my favorite 3 olives grape vodka because for some reason in Sussex, they love the grape vodka and unfortunately they were out of it. Fantastic place with the exception of one bad bartender. HIs attitude won't effect my rating. Pros: VERY clean. Awesome VOLLEYBALL attraction. HUge bar and very spacial. Cons: Stay away from Chad the bartender, unless you want to wait all night and hear him complain. more
