Best

I have tried most of the sushi places in Seattle and Maui. Sushiman has some of the best, most consistant fish around. I am guessing that they have improved since some of the olde...

Worst

A marginal sushi experience. The restaurant is in great condition and beautiful, but the food leaves something to be desired. The size of the cuts of fish is average for Seattle a...

If looking for sushi, look elsewhere 4/12/2003

The sushi experience that I had at sushiman was horrible. The decor of the place is nice, however the sushi was about the worst I've ever had. Their sushi rolls were fairly plain, didn't have much flavor, and were generally ugly compared to other places I've enjoyed sushi. Their nigiri lacked flavor, and joined with some fairly old, flavorless, wasabi made for an extremely flavorless meal. I've had day old, leftover, sushi from other restaurants that tasted better than Sushiman's. Pros: decor, atmosphere Cons: flavorless, poor presentation, bad sushi more

The Worst Sushi I Ever Had Was Here 4/12/2003

Sushiman is the place for you if you prefer stale wasabi, bad ginger, terrible sushi, and a boring menu with a snobby waitress who is cold and unfriendly all at a price well beyond its worth. It's only redeeming quality was that the fish (and thank heavens for this) was fresh. Beyond that, their rolls contain mostly fish, lacking any texture of additional ingredients and resulted in blah food. Presentation was non-existent (yes, their rolls are ugly), the wasabi had no flavor, and the waitress was incredibly rude. My best advice would be to avoid this restaurant, and save your pallet and your wallet for better. Pros: Decor Cons: Rude wait staff, No take-away menus, Overpriced more

Good, Trendy, Fun 4/4/2003

Sushiman was good, but not the best I've had. Edamame is pricey at $9, but you get a HUGE bowl. The tempura was good and crispy, and the Chicken Teriaki was also good. I'd put it in the $$ category as dinner for two cost about $65. The atmosphere is trendy and modern, making it a fun atmosphere. Service was good, except for our 15 minute wait for the host to greet us after we entered the restaurant. I would definitely go again and recommend Sushiman to friends, but we are still in search of a great, less expensive sushi place in this area. Pros: Nice Atmosphere, Good Food, Plenty of Parking more

Great food and excellent service. This is easily the best I have had in the entire area. Enough said. more

Great menu choices 8/23/2002

I just went to Sushiman for the first time yesterday in a group of 8 people, for lunch. Wow, the menu was HUGE! I ordered the ""box"" special (I think that's what it was called) which came with chicken teriyaki, sushi or cali roll, noodles, tempura and my choice of soup or salad. The food tasted great, however, it was a bit on the spendy side. I LOVE sushi and sashimi, but this was priced higher than usual. I was also dismayed to find out that since I had the calif roll instead of the sushi, that I had to pay an additional $2.50. I wasn't prepared to spend $15 on lunch, when I typically spend $8-$9 for a Japanese or sushi lunch. While the food was great, I won't make it a habit to go there for lunch. Much better pricing for dinner in my opinion. Pros: Lots of menu choices, Great tasting food, Attentive service Cons: Overpriced more

best of the best 8/1/2002

Sushiman is the best place around for sushi, period. You get what you pay for. The staff, especially Bobby, is always gracious and pleasant. Sushi initiates will enjoy this place. Pros: great service, wonderful food, tou get what you pay Cons: crowded sometimes, chairs dont fit more
