Service slow, sushi mediocre 10/5/2006

I went for lunch here with some co-workers of mine. My sushi was okay (JB roll and assorted nigiri), although the soy sauce smelled a bit off. My friend ordered the volcano roll and it was a gloppy mess. It still had chunks of mayo in it, and wasn't even blended properly before heating. She sent it back for a mexican roll, which was better. Prices are reasonable, but they don't allow subsitutions on lunch boxes. Many places let you and then charge a small fee for the substitution. Service here was incredibly slow and not very friendly. I won't be going back. more

delectable edibles 10/14/2005

I go out for Sushi alot and he Sushi was excellent, and included my favorite, salmon, yellowtail and tuna as well as California rolls and a house special that is a winner: thin cucumber strips wrapped around crab meat and avocado. Other Sushi included a hot and spicy Cajun Special and the Sunnyside comprised of salmon, yellowtail, cucumber, avocado, flying fish eggs, tempura flakes and a special house sauce. You might also want to try the Spicy Spider made with soft shell crab, spicy tuna, avocado, mango and cucumber. more

authentic but a bit pricey for lunch 8/20/2005

I recently went to Sushi Jazz for lunch about a month ago. While the food was better than average, it still didn't seem quite worth the price. We had a group of about 10, but for some reason that seemed just a bit too confusing for the waitress. When the food arrived, it seemed like she didn't know what came with what or what things were. The price was pretty close to $10 before tax, tip and drink which in my books is somewhat expensive for lunch. As a positive though, I will say that the food seemed very authentic and had a good flavor. The portions were a bit skimpy compared to most of the other places I've gone to lunch at. more
