After all the horror stories I read in other reviews, I began looking at the dates more carefully and realized a lot of them were not at all current. We stayed here over the weekend and the motel clearly had recently been remodeled. Clean, everything is new (even the carpets); we paid half the price of the cheapest local B & B, had a great stay, and wouldn't hesitate to go back. more

I booked this hotel as a place to spend a night to break up a long roadtrip. I selected it solely because it had the cheapest price I could find within a 50 mile radius. I don't always go for the cheapest, but when I know I will only be staying there less than 12 hours, top quality is not a concern, just cost. more

This was our first time at this hotel. The price was reasonable for Lancaster and our room was clean. We had a no smoking room and it was good but you tell by the smell in the hallway when you were in a smoking room area. We had a room on the third floor at the back of the hotel. It was a lot of stairs late at night. When we checked in they did not mention they had a elevator but it was in the front of the hotel at an entrance with no parking so it would have been as much walking to use the elevator as it was just to climb the stairs. more

I, too, don't understand the negative comments about this Super 8. Our experience was enjoyable and very positive. Way to go, Super 8! more

I stayed here, and it was a pleasant stay. It was my wife and I. We were visiting the amish attractions and stayed for 3 nights. The breakfast was great. The rooms were clean and had no problems. I had brought my laptop with me and the internet was fast and better than my own house! I recommend this hotel to stay in. more

Well kept hotel overall. Several restaurants nearby. service very good. Very clean and comfortable with new tub/showers. Continent breakfast small but sufficient. 65 cable channels. Would definitley stay here again. more

unbeatable 5/18/2012

We were visiting the Amish and going to Hershey Park with our kids. We rented 2 rooms, one for me and my wife and the other for my 2 daughters who are 12 and 14. For the amount of money, I think this hotel is unbeatable. The breakfest was great. We were leaving early so we saw the truck drop pastries and breakfest off. We had juice and bagels - delicious and the kids ate donuts. Thought it was nice how we got free breakfest. Cheap place to stay. Highly recommended. Lancaster is a great place to stay. more

Stayed for 2 nights. They are one of the few hotels in Lancaster that will let your pet stay with them. Staff was very courteous. Beds were basically comfortable and got a decent night's sleep. Coffee and bagel etc for the a.m. provided by the hotel. The room was pretty clean but the carpet needs replacing or a really good cleaning. Wear sandals! Would stay here again. more

money's worth 5/2/2012

There are probably a dozen little things that could be picked on about this hotel but the bottom line is if you're reading this you're looking for a hotel on a budget. The rate I was given through a travel company was $50 (includes tax). I felt that I got my money's worth and have already made reservations to stay there again. Go there expecting economy class and you won't be disappointed. more

smelled like Roses 4/16/2012

My husband and I have been going to Lancaster for 20 yrs, several times a yr and stay at another poorly rated motel - we only sleep there-spend most of our time out and about. We tried this Super 8 for a change as the 'other' hotel really did have bed bugs. We will not go back to the other place we used to stay! Super 8 was clean, smelled like Roses (not joking, it smelled like flowers) coffee pot in room as well as a hair dryer and good size fridge in room. Vending machines on each floor and a nice variety continental breakfast. I asked for a room nowhere near smoking and was given one, staff is nice. My husband thought the best was that they had the Military channel! They allow pets too. For the money it's a good place. more

When maintainance person arrived, he pretended that he did not speak english or my complaint\r \r 6. Burnt out light bulbls were simply removed, not replaced. awful, terrible etc 10/4/2006

1. When we came we find out orbitz made mistake and rooms didn't have room to place children, but instead of any help I got answer ""take children in your bad"" !!!!!!\r 2. When we finally got rooms we wanted it was hard smell of Chlor\r 3. In a morning was waiting us ""Continental"" breakfast: something like 3-4 days old bagel and pcs of bread\r \r For short.... don't make mistake we did\r \r Don't believe people who leave then more then 2 stars Cons: everything bad more
