My daughter has been at this daycare since she was 6mos old (she is 1 now) and I haven't walked through one that even compared to here! I am very picky when it comes to the well being of my daughter so cleanliness is a MUST to me. I like that they maintain a clean environment and have friendly staff working there that actually care for my daughter. The teachers stimulate my daughter's mind everyday with learning activities and they provide healthy meals. This is the best daycare thus far! more

This center is awesome! My child loves going here. They are very passionate about every child there. The teachers in the little lambs room really love the infants. They made dropping my daughter off for the first time a breeze. The KidReport updates are also a blast. I love getting the pictures and updates about my daughters day. more

My sons Jamell (3) and Berdell (1) have been attending Luella Academy since August 2012. Luella had everything I was looking for in a daycare/school for my boys. The hours are great, close to my job, every class has a curriculum even for the babies (which is a plus in my book) and they give a report everyday of what your child learned and what they ate. When I took a tour of the facility I knew Luella is where my boys needed to be. The director Ms. Jennifer, Assistant Managers Ms. April, Ms. Evony and the staff are awesome and I love how they know every child's name and they know every parent and grandparent that comes through there doors. Before my 3 year old started at Luella he couldn't say his name but now he knows his name, colors, numbers, and other kids names. He has advanced so much in the short time he has been there and he talks about the teachers so much and they love him. My youngest son just turned 1 years old and he is doing wonderful. They tell me everyday how much he improves on everything. I would highly recommend them to another parent. more

Our kids (3 and 8) have attended Luella Academy since my son was six weeks old. The school has all the amenities that you would look for in a top notch daycare. We find that the staff is very nourishing and has really made our kids feel special and love. The management team is very resourceful and always has an open door policy. I always feel that I can address any issues at the school with management and it will be address professionally and fair. I would recommend this daycare to anyone in the surrounding areas. more

I love this daycare, My two boys have been going there for almost a year. There teachers are amazing as well as the rest f the staff and directors. I am single mom who works 5o+ hours a week so I love knowing that my boys are being loved and cared for. more

My son has been going here for about 2 almost 3 years now. It has been a pretty good center until recently. I, myself, work at night and well into the morning. It's hard for me to get my son there early. He has missed out on so many picture opportunities because this daycare does everything so early. They don't think about the parents that don't have day jobs. This is not the best daycare for a person who doesn't have a 9-5. I am considering moving my son elsewhere. I need a center that caters to the needs of all parents not just some. more

My child has been going to Luella for about 4 months now. She is in the two year old room and I love it there! She has amazing teachers who are teaching her a lot of things! They have her potty trained and she learned all of her colors and letters in this 4 month span, which I have been trying to do for about 6 months now! Every morning when I come in to drop her off the staff is friendly and very helpful, her teachers are very conversational and I enjoy talking to them. She feels comfortable with everyone and whenever i walk in she's always busy and doing something. I am so excited that her brain is continuing to grow and I am happy that I found a center who can help her reach her potential! I would recommend Luella to everyone! more

My daughter has been going to Luella Academy for 7 months now, and we love it! She is in the 2 year old room and I can't tell you how much I love her teachers, they have been so helpful with our potty training adventure! Last week i really realized how much Luella Academy loves and takes fantastic care of my daughter...... She had a seizure on they playground during their morning outdoor time and from what I heard the teachers really stepped up to care for my child in the best way during this traumatic experience for her, and that means the world to me and my family! Her teacher even followed the ambulance to the hospital to be there for my baby! They kept calm and really handled this emergency very well, and no doubt about it my child is in EXCELLENT hands at Luella Academy! more

About a year ago I was looking for a daycare and read the two bad reviews for this place. There were no positive reviews then. Now I am checking again and suddenly there are five 5-star reviews with all Pros and no Cons (except that is is a bit out of the way). These are obviously fake reviews written by the owner or management. They went too far with the fake praise to the point where it doesn't even sound real. I wouldn't trust them with my child. Every time I walk into the building at Luella Academy, there is a smile just waiting on me! I always feel so appreciated when I arrive. Every person I see in the center has a smile on his or her face. The staff is always extremely helpful and willing to go that extra mile for me. I couldn't ask for a better center for my family and me!! \r \r Also, the summer camp here is outstanding!! They go on so many educational field trips and have a number of fun activities every day! Pros: Over-the-top staff, awesome summer camp! Cons: NONE! more

My child has been enrolled at Luella Academy since last year when she was in Pre-K. She learned a lot to prepare her for Kindergarden coming up in August! She is now attending the summer camp program that is offered there. The kids are not just sitting around and wasting the summer away. My child is learning how to swim, she is doing community service projects that teach her moral lessons, and she goes on great field trips, just recently she went to the CNN Center to learn how to put on a play at school! I would tell other parents that bringing their children here would be a good idea! Pros: Great activities, caring teachers, and nice pre-k program! Cons: Have not come across any. more

My child has been attending Luella since he was 3. When he was 4 he was enrolled in the Ga pre-k program, and afterschool. When he went to kindergarden we thought about putting him in the afterschool program offered by the elementary school so he could have the full school experience, but opted to stay at Luella instead, and we have been so happy! They have a fantastic afterschool program there, they get computer time, rec time and art time, each and everyday! All that stimulation in one afternoon! My son loves it, especially cooking with Ms. T, i know better than to pick him up before 530 on tuesday's, or he'll miss cooking day! Pros: friendly staff, clean facility, great price Cons: is there one????? more

I have toured a few centers and though Luella Academy is out of my way it is worth the extra time.\r The staff is friendly and really care about my chidren, When I have a question the Director and Assistant Director And even the Owner have been available to help me .\r I am glad I went to see for myself and didnt listen to the negative review \r Keep up the great job \r \r Very pleased parent Pros: the teachers and staff are wonderful and friendly Cons: Its a bit out of my way(but very worth it) more

This is a fantastic place. It is clean and doesnt smell like a child care center. The children are learning so much. My child has only been there for a short while and she has learned more than several months at the other center. \r I am not sure what the other users are talking about when they say the bad things. My child hasnt been happier. The center staff cares about the children. They give back to the community by doing community projects. The new owner really shows that he cares. My daughter came home one day (she's 4) and said ""my teacher hurt me."" She had fingernail impressions that were there for 4 days and some scratches. When I finally got to view the tapes I was appalled that a teacher would grab her like that and swing her around holding onto only the top of her little arm and digging her nails into her. I later found out that two teachers had been pinching her. I was not impressed with what I saw in the rest of the tapes either. After one month at a different school I now know how much they were NOT learning at this center. The teachers never gave me any feedback about my daughter unless I asked. She had been telling me for about a month that this particular teacher was mean, and she kept running out of the room to have to go up front. Now I know why. I feel so guilty for keeping my kids here so long. I would tell all my friends to keep away. If it's cheap, there's gotta be a reason. The prices have dropped 20.8% in the last month. I wonder why. While at first this location seemed ideal, the children are left on the playground while teachers talk. I saw one on the phone with her back turned when I drove by to pick up my child. Children are not properly supervised. Unprofessional directors with seemingly no management experience. Owner's contacts are withheld to hide the management indiscretions.\r \r This center had my attention as an attractive facility very close to home, but if the teachers don't watch the children because they are talking or on the phone and the management does not act professionally, how is this safer than leaving them at home?!\r \r I removed my child for being abused physically by a teacher. After my child complained, I requested to see tapes and was not permitted to see them. What were they hiding?!\r \r Furthermore, the business cards say ""an educational opportunity."" My daughter has learned nothing from this facitilty, which is little more than a ""babysitting"" service.\r \r I would doubt they passed all of their previous state inspections, and would recommend to any parents of the handful of kids still there to request a copy of the most recent licensure evaluation report, which they have to give any parents who request it while their child is enrolled. I pulled out before I found this out....but it should have legally been posted somewhere that it was my right to ask for such information.\r \r 591-1-1-.27 Posted Notices. (c)\r I recommend going to the website for the\r National Resource Center for Health and Safety in Child Care and Early Education\r \r The more I read this website listing the state regulations, the more I am shocked that they've got ANY children left.
