Summer Wind Stables & Tack Shp

I spent about a year riding at Summerwind, and fell in love with some of the horses while I was there. Unfortunately I was driven away by the drama, the overpricing, and the hostility from a trainer. Said trainer lost her temper with anyone who did something wrong in the barn, talked down to people, and her sportsmanship was laughable. I frequently left in tears when I finished a lesson, and was horrified to be treated as badly as I was. Furthermore, there were a few incidents that showed me that safety is not a huge factor when it could affect the bottom line. People were asked to handle horses that were aggressive and/or prone to bolting without any disclosure as to the nature of the horse. I would never recommend this facility to anyone. The fact that the only positive rating here is from the business owner is very telling. more

This store is always friendly to their customers, and the selection is awesome, tack is high quality in all the english lines. The gifts are beautiful and the inventory supply is always up to date. Summer Wind will order in anything their customers might like that they don't have. Conveniently located on state route 306 in Chesterland. Stop in a see for yourself!! we went ""tack-shopping"" (did the tour of the 4 shops near us) and stopped in to this store. \r Even though the one staff member we saw was helping another shopper, we did not even get a hello.\r \r I was a bit underwhelmed at the selection of apparel quality of tack.\r \r Sorry, I won't be back. Pros: easy to get to Cons: selection could be better. greeting customers can be a LOT better more
