Best store I have seen 1/2/2012

I have lived in Australia Sydney and travelled almost half of USA and I think this is a good store. I can differentiate between expired items and the one that stinks so for me it's easy to tell before I buy something to the manager that this thing is expired , ya I know it's really hard for those who just buy there product and check at home that I bought a rotten thing.these kind of people will never find a perfect shop. more

Huge shop, you can find almost evrything u need here! 12/19/2011

I've never seen an Indian store this huge. The prices are reasonable and the store is neat. Vegetables are fresh and racks are organized, so an item is easy to find. For me, best Indian store so far in South NJ. more

Rotten 8/11/2009

this store is the worst indian grocery store i have been to. i recently moved near cherry hill and this subzi mandi was the first indian store i found and thought it's wonderful because there's a halal meat store right next door, post office, and the dollar store are in the same strip mall.its ok for spices-found all i need, however the produce is not fresh at all. i bought a bag of onions and brought it home and found more than half the bag was rotten. the yogurt i bought had a wierd smell and my husband refused to eat it. One thing i did like, was the i tried a new brand of 'atta' (wheat flour) and it makes Great Rotis (and it was very cheap too!) However, I'm quite disappointed that i have to find another indian grocery store to buy my everyday produce and such. more

Not my kind of place... 3/29/2006

Subzi Mandi has tons of Indian products ranging from shrines to curry powder to produce. But really, it's not the type of store that anyone would want to patronize. It's poorly lit. The second you enter this store, you are confronted by an overwhelming pungent smell. It's a mixture of turmeric and cumin- after a while it makes me nauseated. I don't really buy a lot of Indian products, but the prices here seem low. However, I seriously doubt the freshness- since I never see any other customers here and the parking lot is always quite empty. The perishables don't seem to be that great. By the way: there is a Halal meat market adjacent to Subzi Mandi too. more
