Stewart Subaru November 13, 2012\r 506 Fruitvale Blvd\r Yakima WA 98902\r \r \r \r In reference to gift certificate of $100.00 promised by salesman Matthew “Mat in the Hat” Bland at the\r sale in Walla Walla WA Kmart parking lot.\r \r I arrived around 11 am, I gave Matthew my flyer that I received I the mail, scratch off showed 3 rolls of bills, a $100.00 gift certificate, I never received it, I had to leave to take my wife to her appointment at St. Mary's Cancer center, I took her home afterward only to find my son had an elk down in the Blues (Tollgate) and needed my help getting it out, I called Matthew's cell phone and left a message and told him to send the certificate to my address since he had all my information. I also said if I returned early enough I would come back by or maybe even see him in Yakima, he never even that the courteously\r to return my call, I am glad now I did not do business with him, I can only imagine how I would have been treated after I lost my 2012 Camry and money.\r \r To gain one's trust and return business a person should not lie to those who butter his bread.\r Still waiting on my gift certificate, I did not go on facebook or any of those on the internet I want to give you as his boss a chance to make good first.\r more

This dealer was extremely unprofessional and rude. I went there to look at a car I had seen online for $15350, after repeatedly asking them to tell me the price of the car they finally came out with my payment plan and the price being $19000. I immediately called them out on it and told them that the car was way too expensive for me and they knew that and they should have just told me from the beginning. I left and went to my banker to see about getting a loan for another car. She asked if they had ran my credit, which I had no idea. I had signed one paper with my information on it and it was explained to me, ""This is just to verify that this information is correct. Ok, now I'm going to go talk to finance."" They never told me they were running my credit. My banker called over to the dealership and requested the information and an employee gave us my score and stated that they had ran my credit 6 times! I am a college student and the only thing I have on credit is student loans, so they made it even worse by running if without me knowing. They then refused to let us talk to the manager and were very aggressive over the phone stating, ""No, you are only talking to me."" Finally, my banker stood up furious and said that we are going over there in person to confront them. We went to speak to the manager, Mark Prater, and he immediately said, ""What do you girls want?"" We explained the situation and he gave off a bunch of lame excuses and became so argumentative that he burst out to my banker, ""Why are you even here?! You're not going to amount to anything, you're just a banker!"" I have never been so disgusted by a persons behavior. Both my banker and I are now filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well because this place does nothing but disrespect and take advantage of people. Please don't ever give them your business. more

I'm writing on behalf of my 73 yr old Mother (I'm her oldest son Joe). She responded to a flyer from a Yakima car dealer (Stewart Subaru) promising one of four 'free gifts' during a sale held in a K- Mart parking lot in Walla Walla; that was the reason she went. Upon arriving was told they were out of the gifts and started talking to her. My Mom is very naive, in the 50+ years of marriage my Dad always took care of monetary matters, an 'old-fashioned marriage'. She's never negotiated for anything in her life and that would be obvious to anyone that spoke to her for more than a few minutes. These guys charged her $21,287 for a '11 Honda Civic LX w/ over 38,000 miles on it, book says in outstanding condition (which this car isn't) it's worth between $15-15,500 (a new 2012 Civic LX cost $18,800!). On top of that they added almost $3,300 in GAP and Extended coverage?s WITHOUT EVEN ASKING HER, they knew they had an easy mark and boy they took advantage. Upon talking w/ Mark Prater, one of their managers, he stated ""the deal wasn't excessive and I stand by my guys"". She had no intention of buying a car, had no idea what her car or the car she drove off in is/was worth. Until we pointed it out didn't even know they'd added over $3,300 to the price w/ unneeded coverage?s. These guys saw an easy mark and took advantage of her in every way they possibly could, dealers like this should be put out of business and the unscrupulous 'salesmen' put in jail for theft. more

Not only does the service department not know what they are doing, Greg the service manager is so insecure he freaked out when I asked him to do the test that I left the care there for. I tried to talked to the owner Frank about the complete lack of service and horrible treatment and he told me I didn't buy the car there and how dare I complain about the service department and to leave. Previous visit were not any better, I would have to take care to Beaverton service department to get fixed after Stewarts would tell me nothing was wrong. Last test needed was an oil consumption test. After car being at Stewarts 3 time, they would tell me they couldn't find anything. Again brought to Oregon and they advised the test I needed. So I made the mistake thinking stewarts could do the test. It is pretty simple they change the oil and then you drive it 1200 miles and then they drain the oil and measure the oil. Greg didn't change the oil. He just topped it off. I called 40 min prior to closing and explained the only way the test could be done is to change the oil and that is what I expected, he said there was no one there to change the oil. (I guess he and the other man still there are to good for that) and to pick up my car and never bring it back and hung up on me. When I arrived the actually had the guts to lie to me and say he performed and oil consumption test, when I asked what that meant the said the checked the dipstick. He obviously has no clue what he is doing and was very threatened that some women knew more than him. I am not sure if he can't read either because he said the reason he didn't change the oil was because Big O had a sticker on the window showed the oil was changed. many times he told me this was Big o fault for marking an oil change when it was for tire rotation and the put the mileage in the wrong box. There was a date box and mileage box and then a check mark for tire rotation or oil change, it was clearly marked for tire rotation, but Greg thought the mileage should be under the oil change box in the date box. I know it doesn't really make sense but I guess he can't read. But it doesn't matter if the oil was changed the day before: the only way the test could be ran was to change the oil and that is what I asked for. He thought my husband was nice because he didn't question why they didn't actually do the test. These people have no idea what they are doing, the owner is a very rude man, I am very glad I didn't by my two current cars with them! I was told of car they worked on and the engine blew up 50 miles later. more
