I am the owner of Steves Transmissions.I just noticed a bad review from 6 years ago.In 2008 I was injured so I hired a manager named Devon Prophet.I found out that Devon was not the person to take my place as a manager and I promptly came back to work when I recovered from my back injury.I have been back to work for 5 years servicing the community with quality work at a fair price.\r I can not dispute the customers bad review because at the time this happened,I was out on sick\r leave and Devon Prophet was managing the shop in my place 6 years ago.\r more

there was a problem with my car transmission, i took it to 3 different shops, the estimates they gave me were exorbant - like $1900.00. then i went to steves transmission, he was the most professional and charged me a nominal fee of only $ 450.00. the work was done promptly, and is warrantied. for reliability and service and low rates, i suggest Steves transmission more

A good friend recommended Steves transmission after bringing his car there and was amazed of how knowledgeable steve the owner was and how he took the time to explain to him what was going on. Not only was the price unbeatable but the turnaround was amazing with no hassles. I brought my car in there last week and experienced the same great service and would recommend to anyone looking to service their transmissions to see Steve the owner who is there everyday. more

I wish this review will keep the next person from going through what i went through. After picking up my car from another shop that was a complete rip off, my car was still not switching gears properly. I was told to see steve at his shop and was quoted a much better price over the phone then the first guys charged me for doing nothing. Dropped my car off and by the next morning picked up my car which ran perfect. I would highly recommend using steves transmission. more

I have a 2003 Cadillac Escalade with a blown tranny. I called around several places but noone was able to give me a straight quote. They all said they would have to look at it first. My brother in law told me to call Steve. I called him and he gave me a great price. I still didn’t have all the money, but he said I could pay some now and some later. It took me over a month to pay it all, but he didn’t charge me anything extra. My Escalade drives perfect and I definitely recommend Steves. more

I needed a new transmission for my Dodge Caravan, and I got a few estimates. I called Steve and got a much lower estimate. He did the work in one day at the price he quoted me and the transmission ran fine for years. I definitely recommend Steve for all transmission repairs. I was driving on the highway saturday morning and my car started to smoke and overheat so I pulled over and I was stranded in a highway intersection, so a tow truck stopped and helped us and towed it to his shop. This is the first time I've ever had any problems with my car so I was very upset and worried. The guy who towed the car charged me $150 cash up front for ""parts"" before he would even agree to tow the car to the shop, and a different repair guy charged $150 when I picked up the car the same day. As soon as I picked the car up and was driving home, the car started to heat up again, about 2 minutes after I left the shop. The same thing happened again like nothing was fixed! After getting second opinions from 3 other mechanics that the job was a rip off I called Devon Prophet and found out that they replaced my fan with a used one, and rigged a wire to the fan. They charged me $300 for nothing! Then Mr. Prophet said their credit card machine was down and I needed to pay cash. I picked it up around 6:45pm and Mr. Prophet said that their credit card machines were down and didn't turn back on until 8pm so I would have to pay cash. It was late and I needed to go to work the next day so I went to the atm and paid it. Now I have no receipt to get my money back, and the guy sat there for 45 minutes talking to us when we came to pick the car up like he was a nice guy! All 3 mechanics who looked at my car after it broke down again said that this company ripped me off big time. Cons: didn't fix anything more
