Has changed my life in 3 sessions! AMAZING!!! 5/4/2008

I have had sleeping problems as far back as I could remember. It had been well over 15 yrs since i had slept fully through the night. I had become dependent on taking tylenol pm or melatonin to even get some sleep. And was desperate to find a way, and Stephanie has been the answer to my parayers! After only 2 visits i took a trip out of state and figured even with the progress i had made it would be set back from sleeping in different places, to my absolute shock i slept and slept well on my trip. Since back i have had only 1 more session and am so Happy to say I am sleeping and without taking any sleep aids at all... Pros: Tottaly works, friendly, more

Great Energy, Great Healing 2/28/2008

I was recommended to Stephanie by a friend who had done acupuncture several times before in her life for various things. Her office is just up the street from where I work, so scheduling an appointment during the day was easy. Stephanie is amazing. She spent two hours with me in the initial consult really taking the time to get to know me and my health history. Before my first actual treatment, I came down with a terrible chest cold. My friend told me that should I email Stephanie and see if she could recommend any helpful treatments in the meantime. Stephanie again took the time to find out exactly what my symptoms were before finally recommending some home treatments I could try. My first actual treatment was absolutely relaxing and wonderful. She specifically treated me to help relieve my cold symptoms and within 3 days of treatment, I was off prescription and over-the-counter cold medicine entirely. She has a wonderful, welcoming, fun energy and I highly recommend her! more

Amazing Pain Relief 12/26/2007

I have been suffering from chronic foot pain for nearly three years. After two years of seeing a podiatrist I was told that there was nothing they could do short of surgery that would alleviate the pain. I have been a weekly visitor to Stephanie's office ever since, and my quality of life continues to improve. She keeps my on my feet, running around at work and at home (though not literally, but maybe someday.) I am so glad to have the active lifestyle I need to be a happy person. The needles are nothing. For my treatments, which involve the soles of my feet in an already extremely inflamed and irritated area, it does hurt, but it is worth it. It also helps that she is a counselor of sorts, not only treating the physical problems I have, but me as a person. I look forward to my appointment with the needles every week. Pros: Great practitioner, gentle touch. more

Acupuncture that's not scary! 10/14/2007

I was referred to Stephanie by my chiropractor for some back and jaw issues. I'd never tried acupuncture before, and was little nervous (I stopped donating blo0d to the Red Cross because I got teary-eyed just looking at the needles they use) about the needles. Stephanie was great at helping me feel comfortable, and I've discovered that it really doesn't hurt most of the time. Occasionally there's a little bit of a pinprick feeling that stings for a second, but nothing scary. In fact, going to see Stephanie is probably the most relaxing time of my week, and I've actually fallen asleep during a few different treatments! She has also done cupping on my back, which has helped loosen up my muscles and even my chiropractor has noticed the difference. more

A masterful and super caring healer 7/17/2007

I can't recommend Stephanie highly enough. I came to her recently with an upper back strain that was leaving me short of breath and unable to do my dishes and laundry. Two days after my first (very comprehensive) session with her (and some good, much needed sleep), I felt better than I had in several weeks. It was truly amazing. I went from being barely able to lift an onion more than three inches away from my body to breathing freely and pulling open doors without catching my breath. I wasn't completely pain free to be sure, but I was moving and functioning much more fully and freely than I could before. I've continued to improve and feel at least 10 to 30 percent better after each visit, such that I felt back to 75% of former capacity within 5 visits, and am steadily improving. I also felt able to stop taking pain meds and icing a week after the first visit. Stephanie has given me much relief and hope through her very skilled and caring practice. As for the needles, I've had worse mosquito bites. I often don't even know they're in, and I'm highly sensitive. She is a true intuitive healer with a huge heart and caring soul. I recommend her for whatever ails you. Especially for anyone new to acupuncture. Pros: Very responsive and caring more

A great practitioner 5/9/2007

Prior to using acupuncture, I attended a talk about acupuncture conducted by Stephanie Petix. She did a great job and I was sold. My primary purpose in wanting try acupuncture is for arthritis including numbness and tingling fingers. In five visits I have seen very noticeable improvement. Stephanie's ""style"" resonates with me; she is knowledgeable and informative about her profession. She is a good listener and responds well to all my questions and concerns. Her initial interview surpasses any I've ever encountered with any other practitioner; an initial interview with Stepahnie is about an hour and a half in length compared to approximately 15 minutes with anyone else. Her demeanor is pleasant, friendly and her heart holds a lot of loving kindness and compassion for all. What more could one ask? Pros: Pleasant, comfortable ambiance. Office is very accessible. more

Wonderful care! 5/8/2007

I first went to Stephanie for help with chronic neck and back pain. I was at the end of my rope and nothing I had previously tried was helping. I had always been nervous about the idea of acupuncture and so my first visit with Stephanie was my first time trying it. However, from the very start Stephanie made me feel completely comfortable. She is a wonderful and empathetic listener. I am never made to feel that my concerns are trivial, instead I always feel well cared for. The actual acupuncture is very gentle, not at all scary, and I always feel so relaxed and energized when I leave her office. My neck and back pain is diminishing and we've started working on other issues. In addition to all the other positive things I can say, I know that Stephanie really cares about her clients. She has called me to follow up more than once and if I ever have a question I know that she will answer it right away. She is constantly thinking of more ways to help. I can't recommend Stephanie highly enough! Pros: Great listener, truly cares, close to public transportation and parking more

Amazing practitioner with a huge heart 5/7/2007

I started working with Stephanie for complaints of cold holds. This might not seem to a big deal for most, but I am a chiropractor and touch people all day. It bothered me to see my patients twinge when they would feel my icey appendages. Stephanie spent the time to find out about my current situation including diet, exercise, stress to name a few. She was able to prescribe effective treatment along with supportive herbs to balance my body and allow my hands to warm. I am glad to say that my patient's no longer complain about my cold hands. Due to the success that I experienced with my hands, I have started working with Stephanie on a health issue that I have had as long as I can remember and I am starting to see results. Thank you for being such a compassionate and gifted practitioner. Pros: Compassionate, thoughtful, great listener, close to max line and library Cons: Nothing more

Great care from Stephanie Petix, L.Ac. 3/11/2007

I can go to Stephanie for any type of treatment and her holistic care will help me with that and alot more. She listens and always follows up with how I've felt over time concerning all my treatment issues. I've seen her for some overuse injuries and her care has inspired me to take better care of my body and this way I've gotten more results from the acupuncture treatments. I also always go to her to help fight colds and I always feel better than if I had done nothing or loaded up on general OTC remedies. more

Magic Stress Relief! 2/23/2007

Stress? What stress? I was REALLY feeling it when I walked in to Stephanie's office, but haven't felt it since I left! Plus she loosened up my super-tight back and neck muscles and I've felt great! The tiny needles don't hurt. Truly amazing stuff! And experiencing her warm and caring personality is a wonderful treatment in itself : ) more

Needles? What needles? 2/23/2007

Dr. Petix is really gentle with those things, such that I rarely notice them going in, but maybe that's because she has such a calming approach. Above and beyond standard accupuncture, Dr. Petix is thoughtful, compassionate, and motivating. I always come away from an appointment with better energy than I went in with and a tidbit of useful information such as reminders that I make my own choices, and that I create the energy around me. more

Very Caring! 2/18/2007

If you want someone that really cares and puts their heart into your health care - this is the place. Pros: Validated parking near office Cons: Steps to get into building - hard if in a wheelchair more
