I joined the SECU (State Employees Credit Union) when no one else in the area would give me an auto loan (long live the low credit score). In any case, they financed me, gave me a huge APR, and I was off in my new (used) car.
I was unaware that this credit union even existed until I was suggested to them by the car dealership, and I have since grown to like them. Their staff is friendly, their rates are fair (if you have a high credit score), and there are several locations in the Lansing Area.
