The Stanford is our favorite hotel to stay at in San Francisco. The rooms are comfortable and the service is excellent. One time we got crabs and a bottle of wine down at the wharf, brought them back to our room, and called for a bottle opener and wine glasses. They asked "what kind of wine?" and showed up in five minutes with all the necessaries including butter for the crabs! We always ask for a fridge for the room which they bring up on it's own wheels. All the rooms have great bedding and robes, and complimentary hot chocolate and coffee is served to your room every morning!
