Couldn't even pass the lobby 9/25/2010

Went to visit my mom who had a transplant (I will be taking care of her post op at home and I also have a three month old and am a single parent). I couldn't even get through the lobby! The visitor check in people were not helpful at all, they were rude and I got glared at when I asked her if she was serious that my child couldn't be there (uh, the only babysitter I have just had surgery!). I read on the website that exceptions could be made and I was very pleasant to them even with their rudeness. They said that they would "call security to escort me out"!!!! I didn't say or do anything that would result in getting escorted out by security. It was humiliating and embarassing. I ended up in tears outside the building, I wasn't allowed to see how my mom was, and I was utterly humiliated. I had to send my mom a text telling her why I wasn't there, which made HER upset and angry. My mom will be there for about a week and I will NOT be going to visit, I will pick her up when she gets discharged but I am never going to set foot near this hospital ever again. It was a horrible experience that I will not forget. more

Dr Clark is the Best 8/18/2005

If you are having foot problems then go see Dr Clark. He is very responsive to his patients needs and always spends time to find out how your life is going- unlike some doctors who rush in and rush out. Plus his appointments are usually on time meaning no long waits in the reception area. more

Had our baby there... 8/14/2005

We had our first child at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Orange. Overall we had a great experience. As with all hospitals, watch out for billing errors and communicate with the nurses (they are the lifeblood of the hospital). Our only major complaint was the wide range of nurse personalities (from motherly to rather cold). But it all worked out in the end and everyone left healthy! more

quick care 8/5/2005

This place was a lifesaver. I had received borderline 3rd degree sunburn one sunny day and had to go to the emergency room a couple of days later because my leg was turning colors. Being in Southern California, I figured a trip to the emergency room was going to be a day-long process. It was not the case at St. Joseph's. I did have to wait about an hour, but after filling out the paperwork I was shown to the doctor, who quickly looked me over and got me out with little to no pain. The trip was a little expensive, but going to the E.R. is almost always going to cost some money no matter how little the problem may be. It's not the best hospital I have been in, but it's a lot better than what I was expecting. more
