Worst

The spotted dog is a decent alternative to a fast food lunch. Great place to grab a sandwich or take the kids when in the area looking for a bite other than Wendy's.

They don't serve dog! 4/16/2006

Spotted Dog is a fun restaurant in Carrboro in the middle of weaver street (you can't miss it). They have really good beer battered fries and many food options, from burgers to veggie burgers. It is not too expensive so check it out for lunch or dinner. You can also walk around after and have ice cream at Maple View Store for dessert or have a drink at Speak Easy's. more

Spotted Dog 4/2/2006

The Spotted Dog, a small restaurant in the heart of Carrboro is the perfect spot for vegetarians and those who like to eat healthy. The menu includes items which go along with the dog theme of the restaurant, such as "Fido's Fries" which are beer battered cheese fries (really good!) and the "Boneless Burger," which is a fantastic veggie burger. In addition to vegan and vegetarian foods, this restaurant also has some good choices for meat eaters. more

Spotted Dog was ok 9/1/2005

I wasn't overly impressed with the Spotted Dog Restaurant and Bar, but I'd probably go back. There was a somewhat limited menu, with and emphasis on the organic, and I didn't really see a lot that I actually wanted to eat. I settled on a pasta dish, which turned out to be very good, but I don't know if I'd find something else I wanted if I went back. The beer menu is good, and my husband enjoyed that very much. The restaurant has a nice location on main street in Carrboro, so it's a good place to people watch, if you get a window seat. more

Gotta love the Dog! 8/26/2005

This oddly triangular-shaped restaurant sits in the middle of Carrboro, easily situated between Weaver Street Market and the train tracks. The food is delicious, and the beer selection quite impressive. There are many vegetarian and healthy options available, as well as some pretty serious desserts. The waitstaff is very friendly, and the decor soothing. The ambiance is very nice, whether you're out on a date or having a beer with friends. more

Great neighborhood restaurant 8/12/2005

The Spotted Dog is right at the center of downtown Carrboro. It is in a triangular-shaped building, which makes for interesting architecture but a little awkward in terms of the layout for maximizing space. There are great unique drinks and desserts, as well as casual food. A healthy alternative to pub food in a comfortable atmosphere. more
