Best

Easily the best Thai in town at the moment. Decor is just OK, service is authentically incomprehensible, but man-o-man - the food - the food is just fantastic. I have tried about ...

Worst

Read the good reviews and decided to try. This was the most somber, unsmiling unfriendly service I've seen in a while. No one greeted us as we entered, they just said ""Do you hav...

one of a kind! 2/12/2006

Spoon was recommend to my wife by a friend. I was not sure what to expect. I was impressed. You can not beat the food, atmosphere, or service anywhere. Two thumbs up! more

dreaming of Thai 2/8/2006

This Thai eatery is cool, modern, delicious and gracious. It's an outstanding value for what you get. We tried the tempura calamari which was lightly battered to perfection, curry snapper, a stir fry w/ beef and basil, fried green tea ice cream and a Thai inspired chocolate mousse. Everything was amazing. We'll even come back just for the desserts and Thai teas! The staff is rather new, yet friendly and attentive. No alcohol served at the moment. Overall, it was an impressive experience. Pros: FOOD, menu options, price more

Thai Gem 2/4/2006

The atmosphere is amazing. I've finally found a place that has tasty food made of healthy fresh ingredients for a great value as well as a diverse crowd. Bustling lunch, romantic dinner, friendly gathering place or come alone to dine and read a book. Gotta try it! Pros: food, value, atmosphere Cons: bar not open yet more

i'll be back again and again... 12/9/2005

This brand new Thai spot has a hip contemporary interior, great staff, some of the best and most authentic Thai food in Atlanta at a great price. There is a parking lot right next to the building. I've already tried at least six things on the menu and everything has been incredible. The curries are delicious! Luckily, not many people know about this place yet so there was no wait to eat. Pros: great food, new - so no wait Cons: not close, to much else more

Sensationally Sleek 11/29/2005

This sleek little spot has the best Thai food in Atlanta. Everything's fresh and flavorful. The appetizers rule. The curries are thick and spiced just right. The waitstaff is quietly attentive and the atmosphere will have your date eating out of your hand. Go here- now! Pros: Ambience, Food Cons: Dead area west of GT more

Better than Surin and way cooler 11/19/2005

Spoon has only been open for 2 weeks and I've probably gone atleast 10 times. I can't believe how good the Thai food here is. I frequent the typical thai restaurants Tamariand, Nan, and Surin. This place is definitley my favorite. A great date place, and casual enough for lunch too. You HAVE to try the Golden Snapper ...unbelievable. You can really tell they use high quality fish (it mentions on the menu the use sushi grade). I've tried about 6 or 7 dishes total and they all are flavorful, albeit the house salad is a little boring compared to everything else. Friendly service. Only bad thing I can think of is there is not even a sign out front yet although its pretty easy to find (right next to Melody's and by the Engineer's bookstore) seems like word is getting out though - it was packed the last few lunches. Pros: Best Thai in Atlanta, Cool atmosphere, Unbelievable value more
