Dr. Deters was born and raised in the Inland Northwest, and is a proud graduate of Gonzaga Preparatory School. He attended Wheaton College in Illinois and went on to attend the University Of Washington School Of Medicine as part of the WWAMI program. After medical school, he completed a six year urology residency at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire. He spent the first two years in the general surgery program managing critically ill patients, as well as learning surgical technique from the trauma, vascular, plastics, cardiothoracic, and transplant surgical services. He then completed four years of urology training that included both adult and pediatric patients. Dr. Deters specializes in the treatment of both benign and malignant urologic conditions. As a resident, he spent four years training on the DaVinci Surgical System to augment his previous training in laparoscopic surgery with this advanced robotic technique. He is pleased to offer minimally
