An amazing astrophotography retreat 6/5/2022

If I could have given 10 stars for my recent experience with Clarence Spencer at Moab Utah I would. This all to short course provided excellent instruction in how to take and develop your own pictures of the milky way set against the amazing natural wonders of The Arches and Canyonlands national Park. Clarence has infinite patience in helping those of us who were beginners and was also able to assist the more experienced in our small group of ten. I left feeling that I am on the road to really start to enjoy this great hobby. I am already planning my next trip back in 2023! Paul Hart more

Have Run into Problems 4/29/2021

I sent my camera to this place two weeks ago. It is now over 2 weeks and I get no return calls or email regarding what the status is. I wish I had seen these reviews here before I sent my D810 to them. I think the 5 star reviews are lies. Clarence has till tomorrow and then I'm calling my bank and filling a dispute on the charge. more

Dishonest and a Liar 8/22/2014

This company lied to me about shipping my camera. They kept it for almost a year. They are impossible to get ahold of. The never answer emails or calls. and I look at all the 5 point reviews here. I think it is pretty obvious that he is trying to fake out the reviews. I mean there are 4-5 bad reviews at the end, and them 10 pages of All 5 point reviews. REALLY? Yep- Spencers is ALL about lying to their customers! more

DO Not Recoomend. Best To Avoid. 8/22/2014

I would like to say I know what sort of work Spencers does, but after a year of having my camera, they have still not shipped it. Every e-mail and call to Spencers remains unanswered. This is a company that I can only say to avoid. Spencers Camera will take your camera and that is the last you will hear from them. I give them ZERO stars. more

Exceptional quality 8/8/2011

Exceptional quality and great service. I have had IR conversions performed by other companies and my cameras were not working properly when I received them back. A friend told me he found Spencer's while searching online so I gave them a try. Spencer's has performed 3 conversion for me now and all perform better than expected. I am a very pleased customer and refer all my friends and family to them for repairs and IR work. more

Honest and Reliable Service 7/20/2011

It was a great experience working with you on my recent camera repair. Fast timely service is what you promised and that is exactly what you provided. I thought my camera was toast but you brought it back to life and cleaner than when I brought it to you. Also, the cost was far less than buying a new replacement camera. As times are tough these days it is good to know there are honest and reliable service providers out there. more

I wanted to send you the best picture yet that I made with my converted camera, you build in a amplified filter in my Olympus E-510 last year. Maybe the picture is good enough for your site, there were no adjustments made on the picture. It was taken in my hometown Venlo in Holland. I love the camera. more

Thank you very much for the repair service and IR conversion you performed on my Nikon D300. I now have my baby back in great working order. I am now a convert to IR photography as well. It was a very good decision to send my camera to you for the repair and IR conversion job. Also, thank you for the discount on the repair. It's wonderful that you provided a discount on the repair if ordering the IR conversion for the same camera. Many of my friends have older none working SLR's that will be coming your way for resurrection and conversion. more

wonderful job 7/14/2011

Just a short note to tell you thanks for the great IR conversion service. My Canon 5D Mark II you converted to infrared is better than I expected. The autofocus is sharp as a tack with all my lenses. The camera arrived back quickly, very clean and packaged safely. Your advice and tips have been very helpful. My recent trip to Africa was a great photographic success. Again thanks for the wonderful job. more

I have been shooting my new IR Canon 7D camera for a month that I purchased from you. Everything is just wonderful. I love shooting IR with the ease of no lens filters and no long exposures. Thought you might like to see a few examples of recent shots from here in Nebraska taken one afternoon with my converted Sony Alpha 900 (830 nm filter). I have printed these to 16x24 on my Epson 3800 and they are spectacular! Details are amazing. more

I just received my camera and have a few questions. How were you able to complete the conversion so quickly. I was not expecting to see my camera for a few weeks but it was back to my home in Vermont within a week. Also, I was told by one of your prominent competitors that the black and white conversion on a Canon XSi would not give me a pure black and white images straight out of the camera. The images I shoot with this camera are pure black and white right from the camera without setting the camera to black and white mode. I'm very pleased with the results of the conversion service provided by you and your staff. more
