This is my sanctuary. I am a member of this club because of the amenities and the relationships. The steam room and sauna are my rewards for hard work in the gym. If these amenities are taken away, I will look for a different club. more

Expensive 8/21/2005

This place is a nice spot, especially in the cute building downtown but the membership is expensive. It seems like there are better values in town as other gyms have the same services. Tennis players love this place because they have good people to have matches with and great maintained facilities. This is not something you will find everyone. more

High price but great facility 8/21/2005

Michigan Athletic Club (or simply MAC in the local lingo) is a really nice club where you can have a great time getting fit as well as meeting some great people. The equipment is nice, new, and plentiful. The only real downer in my opinion is that the annual membership they rope you into is extremely expensive when compared to the other clubs. more

Athletic Club 8/14/2005

The Michigan Athletic Club in East Lansing, Michigan, is one of the nicest fitness club in the United States. There are things there for every sport. There are multiple Tennis, Racquetball, and Basketball courts. There are also 4 different swimming pools 2 lap pools and 2 play pool(Including 1 slide). There are also many machines to work on every part of your body. In addition, each treadmill and bike has its own television so you can watch your favorite show while you exercise. Up stairs there is also a restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat after you work out. more
