Southfield Chrysler employs SCUMMY SCAMMERS! 9/18/2012

Southfield Chysler is a SCAMMING NIGHTMARE! They sold the car out of under me AND I HAD PUT A DEPOSIT DOWN!!! Then they kept trying to screw me out of a deal , then tried to sell me a different car that I didn't want. ERIK B. <---- DO NOT BUY FROM HIM! He is a gross man that seems nice at first but is a just another loser cars sales man. I tell you from one nice normal human being from another, DO NOT BUY FROM HIM! WALK THE OTHER DIRECTION. He wasted a week of my time thinking I was getting a car then after he sold my car, I walked away and went to another chrysler dealer. HE CALLED THE BANK AND TOLD THEM NOT TO APPROVE ME!!!! He called back and said "Sorry hun, you should have bought a car here, now arent' you sorry? ARE YOU SERIOUS?! DONT GIVE HIM YOUR SS NUMBER. He confronted me and said Oh, so I see your car shopping at other places huh" He stalks your stuff and tries to reel you in with a low price. I was offered 202 a month, then 213, then 228 , NOW 500?! Their service department is horrible. I've made the mistake of going back numerous times, because it was a convenient location for me. On two of my simple oil changes, they did not install my oil filter correctly, and oil leak out all over my driveway. They did recall work twice, and the recall work needed to be recalled after they called themselves fixing it. Bottom line is their work is comparative to a self-taught backyard mechanics, and if you have time to keep taking your vehicles back to there to keep fixing a problem (that they are not qualified to do period), then this is the service shop for you. As for me they could not even put washer fluid in my vehicle, cause they would undoubtedly mess that up. I own a 2009 Dodge Ram, I bought new, and this shop has made the experience of owning it a real life NIGHTMARE!! I went to the dealership to buy a new van. I needed a mini van for my family. It was very busy there it was a monday night. I was greeted right away! My sales person was vey nice and spent all the time I needed to make me feel comfortable with buying my new mini van. I am very happy with the way I was treated! more

Southfield Chrysler Jeep performed a safety inspection for a vehicle that I was considering buying. Only had it done at their shop out of convenience as the private dealer we were buying from was close by. After calling around to Chrysler dealerships in northern Oakland Co., I found out I was charged $221 for the same service Palace Jeep would have done for $65 and Meadowbrook Dodge/Chrysler would have done for $105. I feel Completely ripped off by Southfield. I am contacting Chrysler corporate with my complaint and urge others to do the same. more

Southfield Chrysler Jeep service department may be the biggest rip off around. I urge people looking for work done by the dealer to shop around, just like anything else. Their prices are not competitive with other dealerships. more

Sub-par Service Experience 7/31/2009

Our dealer closed and we have been having issues with our 2009 Jeep Liberty. It has been in the service department for a completely drained battery 5 TIMES since may! We had it towed to Southfield Chrysler Jeep because BHam Chrysler closed. The service department was cordial the first two times in their shop, but the last three have been nothing but a hassle. Every time we asked to speak to a service manager they pass us to a different person. We finally were able to talk to the Service Director and he is unwilling to go out of his way to help my pregnant wife and me. He had our paperwork on his desk to send to the regional director of Chrysler (lemon law) for 8 days before he even looked at it! And when we asked if he was comfortable giving this car back to a pregnant woman, he said "now you are making it personal." We went here when we shopping around for our Wrangler. The gentleman we worked with was very friendly and accommodating. He helped us try and find a Jeep with the features we wanted. We actually signed a contract to purchase one of the Jeeps on their lot, but changed our mind the next day because it didn't have the hard top we decided we really wanted. He had no problem when we changed our minds. We ended up purchasing our Jeep from another dealer, but I would definitely consider going back here to look for our next vehicle. more
