Getting the best care here 8/3/2011

We can't thank you enough for everything you have done for us. The kindness and care you have shown us and our animals is overwhelming. It meant a lot to us that you made it possible for us to be with you when Elsa had to leave us. It was because of your kindness and generosity that she was with us for this last year. We thank you for that. We also want to thank you for the care you are giving to Maggie. She doesn't seem to mind taking her medicine and we haven't noticed any side effects from it. She hasn't had a seizure since the last cluster in the middle of February. Hopefully this medicine will help cure them. No matter what happens, we know she is in great hands. Not only with you two, but with your staff as well. Everyone we have dealt with over the years has been so wonderful. That is certainly a reflection on you. It is very comforting to know that our animals are getting the best care you have been providing. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. more

The best doctors in the roanoke area 7/19/2011

doctor mary thornton and her husband are the best doctors in the roanoke area, i have lived in sc for the past 7 years and i still carry my beloved babies to roanoke for treatments. i worked for her for almost 6 years, and i think she is the best. im not just saying this because we are friends. im stating the shear facts. more

Kindness and professionalism 6/21/2011

My brave and courageous "Big Head" passed over the "rainbow bridge" at 08:20am Sunday morning, in my bed with me at his side. He was a fighter, a lover of life and my Pal. He taught me a great deal about how to live life and how to be brave right til the end. I was proud to be "his person." Thank you for all your kindness toward my friend Big Head. Your kindness and professionalism helped extend his life and you are very much appreciated! more

Dr. Mary and Dr. Preston, Thank you for setting your standards so high. Your hospital and staff are great. I feel like Taz recieves the best care when she is there. You are both wonderful doctors as well as wondeful people. Eric, Thank you for all your hard work caring for Taz and the support! You do a great job! Keep up the good work! David, Thank you for making sure all went well while we were there. Your support on the phone was SO comforting. You made me feel like everything was o.k. Thanks for making me feel more calm. Thank you so much for the beautiful flower vase in memory of Bucky. To the staff, thank you for showering Bucky with attention and thank you for your kind words. A special thank you to Dr. Mary for answering so many questions. As a caregiver of a pet with cancer I was in denial. I had hope that we could defy the odds and beat the cancer and become a textbook miracle case. You said the word aggressive, but I chose to be in denial, so thank you for gently guiding me with Bucky's treatment. more

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to everyone at Southern Hills who played a role in the care giving of Goldie when she was ill. We are very thankful for the excellent care she received at your facility and for the 11 wonderful years we got to spend with her. We cherished her and she was truly a special member of our family. It meant a lot to us that you understood that and went above and beyond your realm of duties to treat her condition and keep her comfortable. Also, thanks so much for the beautiful flowers. Every time I looked at them, I had fond memories of her as they were warming colors, just like her. :) We saved some to keep with her ashes. more
