Mahalo Nui Loa to all the staff at South Shore Veterinary Care! Dr. Dressler obviously loves what he does, and we really appreciate that he takes the time to educate *us* about what's happening with the health of our cats Opihi & Kika. But the special "shout out" goes to the front office staff: they are AWESOME!! Our furry children have needed to board several times at South Shore--the most recent stay at the South Shore Spa was supposed to be only a couple of weeks, but was extended twice to nearly 2 months. The front office staff are consistently polite and professional with us and take excellent good care of the "kids." They even helped out when one of our (indoor) kitties escaped from our home a few months ago. They definitely go above and beyond. Thankyouthankyouthankyou! more

I want to recommend SSVC and Dr. Dressler. I believe that he is the best vet on Maui. The physical facility is extremely clean, spacious, well organized and offers a wide variety of services and products for many types of pets.\r \r I've been taking my pet rats there for about six years and I've always been treated with respect and the loving care that all the staff gives to the pets is amazing! They take the time needed to diagnose and treat whatever is needed, and never rush you. They make sure you understand everything, then go the extra mile to follow up after any procedure has been done. \r \r Mahalo for being there to help my babies when needed! more

This is an excellent , extremely clean full service veterinary clinic. Dr. Dressler is very knowledgeable and caring in his practice. He takes the time necessary to determine the correct diagnosis and treatment for your pet. He handles them gently and with great love. It is his passion to give animals the best quality life and care. more

After taking my cat, Aku, in for his annual checkup, I was astounded by the staff at taking extra steps to make my visit comfortable for all. When entering the facility, I spoke with the receptionist. I happened to mention the interesting breed of my cat, Nebelung. Before I was called in for the examination, he had looked up the breed on the computer and agreed that Aku was indeed this type of cat. I was impressed. Also, the exam was thorough, including a teeth check for bacteria. I could tell my cat was not traumatized at all for everything they did to maintain his health. Great work! J. Otto more

We first took Trooper, our Lovebird to South Shore Veterinary Care for a broken wing in 2005. Then Love, our Lovebird for emotional behavior problems. Then Chill, our Lovebird because her egg was stuck. Now, Miko, our dog has been in to get spayed & regular check ups. We are grateful for such a sincere Staff. more

I came in for an emergency visit for my little bird Sam. The staff was very compassionate, knowledgeable, and helpful. They not only took great care of Sam, but also were kind and helpful to me as well. They answered all my questions and were very patient with me. The clinic was clean and well staffed. Dr. Dressler was gentle and caring, and didn't rush. more

I have been bringing my 2 cats, Sheeba & Tigress to South Shore Veterinary Care since March 2005, when I moved them here after quarantine from S.F.Bay Area, Calif to Kihei, Maui. Like most animals, they are never thrilled to go to a vet's office. But the gentle and caring manner Dr. Dressler and his staff have always shown, made them at ease shortly after their exams.\r \r I am always impressed with the thorough knowledge of Dr. Dressler when he explains whatever the situation is with either cat, in "layman's" terms so that I can understand.
