Sound Stage

I am a long time customer of Sound Stage. When they were at Bay Shore, I enjoyed stopping in from time to time, to see the latest in home entertainment. They are, in my opinion, a first rate supplier of both home and commercial entertainment equipment, at competitive pricing. The new equipment they sell is top quality and/or high end. There on site service and repair department has never disappointed me. This place is awesome and can sell you everything from top-of-the-line home theater equipment to used/refurbished audio-visual equipment. Dave is insanely knowledgeable about everything in his store and if does not know the answer to something, he will definitely find the answer for you. Even though I have moved away from Milwaukee, I still visit Dave?s store every time I return to see the new products. I still buy all my consumer electronics products from him (ranging from multiple flat screen TVs, speakers, DVD players, receivers, cables, etc.) The Customer Service here is outstanding. Dave will take the time to show you the pros and cons of the products you are looking at and help you find the right product for both your needs and your pocketbook. After he sells you the product, his expert staff can install the product and show you how everything works. I have absolutely no complaints about Sound Stage and highly recommend them to everybody! I am a second generation customer of Dave's - going back 30+ years to the original Bayshore location. My father also was a customer - - the best place in town to get turntable needles, and the now hard-to-find items for us audio-files. They have an excellent selection of revitalized receivers, amps, speakers, turntables, equalizers, tape decks etc. that they can service and repair. It's just fun to walk in the store to see what they have restored! They just repaired and tuned up a defective part in my 7 yr. old Sony Trinitron 27' TV and the picture is now sharper than ever - - rivals any HD or LCD TV quality. But they have a great selection of new big screen TV, surround sound systems, speakers also. Dave is extremely knowledgeable and has the answers you won't get at a big chain store. After moving to Milwaukee from the UK I found that my Creative 7.1 Computer Surround Sound system was not functioning properly. I took my Creative 7.1 system to Sound Stage and after analysis they said that the system itself was perfectly fine but that the problem was due to the voltage. They suggested that they could try to find a solution and would inform me of how much it would cost before proceeding. After not hearing anything from them for over two weeks, I telephoned only to be told that they had solved the problem and it would cost me US$ 110.00! When I collected my Creative system from Sound Stage I found that they had cannibalised / cut to pieces my existing Creative equipment!!! I could simply have purchased a converter / transformer for far less cost than they charged me to vandalise my existing equipment!!! In addition, I could have purchased a brand new sound system of almost as good a quality as my existing system for almost the same price as they charged me!!! I am absolutely furious with Sound Stage and would never give them any more business. Nor would I ever recommend them to anyone!!! What a rip-off!!!!! Pros: Nothing!!! With these guys you certainly get what you pay for. They specialize in HIGH END TELEVISION and HIGH end HOME STEREOS. I love to support local Biz. Unfortunately they do not do as much mobile sound stereos, speakers ect... as they did at the Bayshore location. But as of right now I was shocked to see how cheap they are selling the mobile speakers and amps (as of 4-15-08). If you want a shocking mobile stereo hurry up. I got mine there and every car ride is now fun. I was a mobile audio customer at the bayshore location several times, and they did a fantastic pro install job every time! When I was waiting for my install I was always fascinated by the television and stereo displays. If you want the best come here. Dave will personally set you up with your dream home television and audio system! Remember this. You get what you pay for. And I am a firm believer in it. Get any Sony television from there and you will be shocked at the picture quality. Support your local people. Don't buy from the big guys as the customer service just is not there.
