Sophi Blu opened in Summer 2009, and is the brainchild of Northport Long Island resident Jacqui Maggio. Growing up in the north shore of Long Island, Jacqui is no stranger to the retail industry. Her mother, Mary Maggio, had owned and operated her own children's specialty boutique back in the 1980's called Homemade Kids. Reviving her mother's boutique has always been a lifelong dream for Jacqui.
Sophi Blu offers classic children's fashions as well as modern styles for the contemporary infant and toddler. Ms. Maggio brings her artistic eye to the children's retail market by introducing labels that are hip and fresh as well as classic. Conservative Sarah Louise smock dresses are placed alongside tunics from Pink Chicken and rock star onesies by Mini Shatsu.
With its crisp white interior and subtle splashes of blue and pink, Sophi Blu's tranquil atmosphere sets the stage for the boutiques simple and chic children's fashions. Sophi Blu offers an intimate shopping experience, unlike shops at Long Islands neighboring malls, and is the perfect place to find that unique children's gift as well as everyday fashion forward outfits for the stylish little ones..
