Went with a coupon from Charity Dines today. Ordered the Chili Relleno. To my dismay, it was awful!. It looked as though it was cooked three days ago and reheated today. With the first bite I pushed it away. I am not one to send food back as I'm always afraid of a repercussion (spitting and whatnot). I had no choice. It was so terrible it was inedible. Here I am, left with a $25 coupon that was going to be used or not. I reordered a simple ground beef taco plate which was substandard at best. My Mother was with me and unfortunately she had also ordered something inedible. The Carne Asada which was the equivalent of leather. After I had sent back my order back she called the waiter over to sent hers back. She actually sawed into the meat to show the waiter the problem where I then interjected "Can you imagine trying to chew that?" I will say the waiter tried to be accommodating with exception to the fact that he had to be hunted down for basic service, (i.e drinks, check and such). Prior the the entree fiasco, we asked for a refill of our chips and salsa to which we were informed that there would be an up charge for a refill. Only the first round of chips and salsa are free. Our waiter was kind enough to bring us more chips gratis, sans salsa. Without salsa the chips (stale) were worthless. Hopefully, they didn't recycle the uneaten chips, although, I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case. Ultimately, extremely disappointing is an understatement where Solo Cantina is concerned. They got my money this time but rest assured, it won't happen again!
