I worked with Heritage Solar some years back when installation was still very costly. I have nothing bad to say about them. They are lovely and wonderful people who are very nice and professional. They've been good anytime I had a problem. However I live in a new house now with sunpowered solar panels which are very strong. I was able to lease so it cost nothing to install. It's better than paying cash. Since things are different now I would recommend to others that they get sunpowered solar panels since they're much better and to get them using a lease as it is much more affordable. more

Heritage Solar installed our solar panels and when it turned out a part was faulty from the factory it came from, they replaced it at no charge to us. They did all that and let us know what was happening. They also have a website where we can see how much electricity we're generating and they'll actually call to let us know when our generated electricity is decreasing so I like that they're keeping track of things. more

I've had the system now for five years. I first had three estimates. Dennis from Heritage Solar was the only one who knew what he was talking about. He actually got up on the roof, surveyed the space, and told me how many panels could be put in. The others came and didn't even take a look up there. Dennis will tell you the truth and is upfront about what you'll actually get. There were no problems with follow ups. And when the panels were delivered, Dennis himself was there on the roof helping the electrician install them. The panels work fine. more

When someone makes a mistake or gives poor performance – I am right there to sound off. I am, however, also right there to sound off when the service is good. I run a small – one-man mechanical design service. If one of my clients has a problem with a design or a part, or the machine shop has a problem with a part or operation, I stop everything – right then, and either go into the design layout or part drawing, or run over to the client’s facility or the machine shop. I solve the problem immediately. I believe this is the way to run a business. Well, we had Heritage Solar guys here today installing panels on the roof and preparing to replace the electrical; service panel. When they left things seemed normal – but later the air conditioner would not work – no matter what I tried. It was sweltering in the house and office. Frustration reigns in a situation such as this. I emailed Heritage people – about 7:30 or 8:00 pm that evening – and within a half hour there was someone at my door – to troubleshoot the problem. He checked the system from beginning to end of the circuits in the air conditioning system. Patiently dealing with my problem. Then, humbling as it was, it was discovered the problem was a fuse on a circuit board in the air handler closet. The was most probably not the fault of the Heritage personnel on my roof. I stated that this was not a Heritage fault and the responsibility did not fall to them, and I was willing to pay for the service call. The A/C company would surely have hit me significantly, but the Heritage tech said he didn’t believe there were coincidences many times in these cases, and would not accept payment – his troubleshooting revealed the problem and he did not accept payment. I do everything I can to keep my clients satisfied. I don’t think I could do better than Heritage did in this case. I am awed. If you want a company that cares about satisfying their customers, I don’t think you could ever do better than Heritage Solar. You can use my letter publicly, and you can even have potential customers call or email me regarding this. It's been probably four years since Heritage Solar installed my solar panels and I haven't had any maintenance issues. We found them through an Internet search. I would recommend them. The installation was good and I haven't had any problems. more

I've used them for two projects. One was for a client of mine and one was for my own home. For my client, they included a backup generator, but they didn't really know how to tie that in with their solar system. We didn't know that would be a problem until after the installation. Other than that, they were very knowledgeable and thorough, and did what the contract said. They followed through properly, and have been very responsive on follow-up. For my own home, I was very pleased with everything. The experience with the sales person, Mark, was good. Rick was also very knowledgeable, and sized our system properly. The installation of it was great. The electricians they had doing the installation were very professional and they accommodated my design idea as an alternate to their own, which I appreciated. The performance of the system has been exactly what I expected. more

Heritage Solar did my home solar installation in three separate batches. If I had a problem, they were quick to respond and put corrective measures in place. Now, the things I have been nudging them about are nickle and dime things, they are actually great. They were professional, quick, efficient, clean, and delivered exactly what they said. I like that they are responsive. I can reach them by e-mail or phone and I have never felt that they are out of touch, too busy, or ignoring me. I have seen other installations and my installation is very good. The last time I spoke to Dennis, I was considering paying to have my system upgraded. He decided that I has ahead of the curve on an upgrade and said I should wait on that. He could have taken my money, but instead he told me to wait until a more advanced system came out. more

I called Dennis at Heritage Solar and they quoted me a fair price so I had them installed some solar panels. Since then I have referred another couple to Dennis. The system he installed is really nice. What's surprising about solar is that it cuts our electric bill in half. We went on vacation in May and paid $9 for electric. Our July bill would normally by almost $500 but after Dennis came by, has dropped to $90. We decided to go solar as a way of investing since we are retired, wanted to save on the electric bill, and have a limited budget. Dennis and his technicians have always been prompt at answering questions and having people come out the same day to fix issues. I haven't had to call them out many times, though. more
