Staff makes me feel at ease 7/26/2011

As a nervous patient with not-so great gums, the staff here always makes me feel at ease and comfortable during every appointment. Plus their expertise and care has helped so much I just had a fabulous appointment for first time! more

In good hands 7/21/2011

I went in for a root canal and as anyone would be, I was scared. You always hear horror stories about how much they hurt and what not. I have been going to Dr. Schwartzstein for quite some time now, so I knew that I would be in good hands. I went in the day of scared, but of course everyone tried to calm me down and tell me it was o.k.. After all was said and done, I am very happy with the end result. I highly recommend his office. more

Go Out Of Their Way 6/27/2011

Very professional, caring dentist office. They are very accommodating and go out of their way to make things right. They have dentists there with different specialties and they have Saturday hours. The office Manager is the BEST and is very knowledgeable about insurance. more

Feeling Comfortable 6/27/2011

Coming to my appointment I was terrified. I've been avoiding it for as long as I could. First, they explained to me exactly what they were going to do and I started feeling comfortable. I had my IPod on and they started drilling and I was very calm, no pain, nothing. This is really unheard of in my visits to dentists before. I usually get anxious and spread it to everybody in the office. Not this time. Very nice and professional doctors. I'm coming back this week and will not drag my husband with me like I did on Friday. more

Like most people, I hate going to the dentist! One of my friends recommended Dr. Schwartzstein when I expressed having a tooth ache. I dreaded going in, however, I was pleasantly surprised by Dr. S and his team. I was treated really well and my tooth was fixed without too much pain. more

Best dentist experience I have ever had 10/13/2010

I have always hated going to the dentist because I have really sensitive gums. A simple cleaning usually causes me much pain and bleeding. My first time going to Dr. Schwartzstein changed everything. The hygienist was so gentle and the doc was very knoweldgeable. Everyone is very nice and the office is very clean. I highly recommend this dentist to everyone (esp if you have sensitive gums like mine). more

beautiful office 3/23/2010

I went for my routine cleaning and after exam with Dr Schwartzstein I/we discussed replacing some of my failing ,broken, old silver fillings. I understood that these fillings after removal were going to be crowns or porcelain fillings. ughhhhhh! went to the office managers office to discuss the cost, yike ! expensive! but after we went over some dental insurance stuff ,not so bad. so next visit we start the first tooth. i was nervous, so only doing one tooth at a time(out of 3). Avoid At All Costs 4/29/2009

I had my first appointment with Dr. Schwartzstein a couple weeks ago. I met the hygienist who seemed to be nice at first. After I got into the chair she looked at my teeth and told me how horrible my teeth are. Now I'm not claiming to have the best teeth in the world but they are straight, white and I take care of them. After the cleaning, which was painful but I tend to have more sensitive teeth, she took x-rays. Dr. Schwartzstein came in and introduced himself. He asked if I had any complaints. I said that I grind my teeth in my sleep and my teeth have become very painful at times. He looked at my teeth and noted that he can tell I grind my teeth a lot. He then told the hygienist that I need to deep cleaning and left the room. He address my complaint or even look at my x-rays which were on the screen in front of me. I have since that told everyone I know to avoid this dental practice. Dr. Schwartzstein seems to be a little to into his looks to care about his clients. I would avoid this place even for a cleaning! more

I have been coming to this office for 1.5 years and even though my insurance is not that great and does not cover much, I will continue doing so because I KNOW Dr. Schwartzstein's staff will do whatever it takes to accommodate me. Pros: Professional, skilled, will take care of you more

Mean Staff, stay away - they smoke while they work 4/11/2009

I'm no spring chicken, I have been around alot of interesting characters in my life - but rosa takes the take! How could you have the office manager of a dental office sitting outside smoking a ciggarette and then come in with that smell still on her clothes and pretend like everything is OK. Doesnt make sense and was shocked when I saw her doing that. When they call me for my next cleaning visit ill know to look for a new dentist around my job. So Nasty Cons: rosa more

Painful Hygenist! 1/16/2009

i had an appt to have a cleaning for the first time with this office. it was a late appointment on a friday (maybe around 4pm) and when i arrived, it looked liked the office was about ready to close. the hygenist came out with a scour and looked like she was about to pass out! she worked on me for 30 minutes and during the 30 min, i explained that it was painful for 25 min! when she was done, she asked me to rinse and i swear...i've never bledd so much in a dentist office!! sorry for the gory details, but it was awful!! soon after, i had my xrays done with the dentist (not schwarstein, it was a female doctor) and although she was somewhat pleasant, the hygenist made me swear i'd never come back. more

Best dental staff in NYC 10/16/2008

I have been going to Dr. Sol's office ever since moving to NY years ago. Rosa and the office staff have always treated me like family and have made the whole dental experience much more pleasant. They have nice, clean offices, overlooking central park, and are always professional and friendly during my visits. I have been happy with all of my services there, including everything from cleanings to root canals. Considering my anxiety of going to the Dentist, the fact that I would so highly recommend this Dentist and staff should mean a lot! Great dental office!! 11/29/2007

One would assume based solely on the location of this office alone that you would encounter a few negative things.: Unfriendly staff, dentists that are beyond it all and overpriced services. This assumption would be very wrong. This office, while located in the ritzy Central Park South area is one of the most down to earth places that you would ever visit. The dentists each have their own unique style of interacting with the patients, and the office staff are the sweetest women that you could ever meet. They know who you are the minute you walk in the door and there is always a smile and warm greeting. I honestly love this place. I actually look forward to getting my cleanings. Excellent Dental Group 11/2/2007

I just came to this site and was wowed to see my dentist here. Dr. Schartzstein and his staff are true professionals. On more than one occasion I had to call my dentist for either a last minute cleaning or a small emergency regarding my family. Never ever was I told that my appointment was lost or were we turned away. I commute from Westchester county and work in the city and smiled when a saturday appointment was made availalble to me at the last minute on a friday evening. The office is clean the staff is friendly and any and all problems seem to be worked out fairly and generaly to my benefit. The hygenists are amazing they make my children calm and smile which puts me at ease when we arrive. The gentle techniques they use make my presence never needed in the rooms. THANKS GUYS!!!!!!!!!! more

Worst dentist ever 10/17/2007

At first glance, this seems like a great dentist office: swank location, clean, and modern equipment. But interacting with the people here was very unpleasant for me. I showed up for two appointments, and both times the appointment was not in their system. Both times, they implied that I made some sort of mistake (perhaps instead of multi-flat screen scheduling technology, a simple appointment book and pencil would work better?) Pros: Clean Cons: Too high-tech for it's own good (or yours) more
