Marie is the best! 6/14/2009

Marie is a great stylist. She really listens to what you want and makes sure that you leave not just happy- but ecstatic. I've been to many salons in Atlanta since I moved here from NY 3 years ago. My highlights are so natural looking and my cuts always grow out so nicely.I'm so happy now that I'm "settled" with Marie. Plus she is so fun and awesome to chat with during your appointments. Pros: great cut and color every time Cons: out of the way more

Marie at Soda! 3/12/2009

It was by chance that I stumbled upon Marie at Soda and I am so glad I found her. I have been to see her 3 times now and have been pleased with every visit. Her highlights are great and she always has fabulous ideas on how to create a new look. I had my hair cut at my last appointment with Marie and I love it. It has been so easy to manage and her suggestions on how to style were perfect. Thanks Marie! more

Great Stylist, Highly Recommended! 3/10/2009

I moved to ATL almost a year ago, and I was driving 2 hours back to my hometown to have my hair done every 3 months -- I'm incredibly picky about who works on my hair. I decided to see my friend Allison Smith at Soda Salon, and I just have to say she did an AMAZING job! She toned my hair to an amazing brown that helped warm my caramel blonde highlights to my naturally dark hair. I am constantly complimented on my hair and I have Allison to thank for that! She really listen to my specific styling requests and made my hair look greater than I could've imagined -- thanks for the wonderful protein treatment that has made my hair so incredibly soft! She does an amazing job on coloring, especially with naturally black hair like mine. I have definitely found my new stylist in Atlanta, who I have already recommended to all my friends! The Atlanta shop is located in an adorable, safe district, where I was able to grab a quick Mocha at the neighboring coffee shop. Pros: Great Colorist! Cons: none more

I have moved from place to place and it always takes me so long to find a great stylist to color/cut my hair. I was lucky enough when I moved to Atlanta I went over to Soda Salon, and I just happened to get Jennifer Kelley. Well, I am so glad I did, because that is where my searching endend. Now I am looking to move again, but will definitely make the drive to see Jennifer because she does such an awesome job! more

Finally! I've found THE ONE! 2/26/2009

I've lived in Atlanta all my life and have been to several hairstylists both in-town and in the 'burbs. I started going to Soda out of convenience because it's close to my house. Now, I'd drive as long as I need to in order for Jennifer Kelley to cut my hair. She listens to what I want but makes suggestions if she thinks something might not look good on me. She's helped me find the right "natural" color for my face, and she cut 11" off my hair, giving me the best hairstyle I've ever had. Plus, she's super-fun and sweet and makes the long color/cut process a fun event. And the added bonus is that she does an AWESOME shampoo, which, in my opinion, is the best part of getting your hair done. Everyone must go see Jennifer but has to wait in line behind me. She rocks! more

I love Soda!! 2/25/2009

Stop wasting your time at those other salons and head on over to Soda to see Jennifer Kelley. I feel very comfortable in her chair, knowing that she understands exactly what I want, and I am consistently happy with the results. She is a genuine person who cares about her clients and is always willing to go the extra mile. The salon is beautiful and they fact that they use Kerastase is just the icing on the cake! Pros: friendly staff, products and great service more

Great Salon - Ask for Jennifer Kelley 2/25/2009

ChristieO Provided by Partner
I used to be a salon hopper, but after trying several well known "big name" salons in Atlanta, I gave Soda Salon in Grant Park a try several years ago. A friend referred me to Jennifer Kelley and I've been using her ever since. Jennifer is fabulous - super talented and very friendly, she immediately puts you at ease in her chair. She always takes the time to talk things through before starting a service and I have always been 100% satisfied with her work. One of my favorite things about Soda and Jennifer is that you get 1 person for the entire time you're there - for shampoo, cut, color, blowdry - not like some of the bigger salons in town where you get passed to 2-3 people before you're done. The Salon itself is great - funky and fun, but not pretentious or snooty. Appointments are on time, parking is free, great artwork that rotates on a regular basis - honestly nothing to complain about! more

go see... JESSICA!!! 2/20/2009

Amanda452 Provided by Partner
I have been going to JESSICA for years now and I wouldn't have it any other way! -She has accepted each and every challenge i have thrown her way over the years and executed them with PERFECTION!!! -She knows how to translate a cut to compliment your face -Her color is REMARKABLE!!! Red hair can be a difficult color to maintain, but Jessica took the time to help me learn how to treat my rebellious hair, take care of my color and gives me a cut that grows out FLAWLESS EVERYTIME!!! -Her consistency is something i have come to depend on and i have sent so many friends, co-workers and complimenting strangers to her over the years... -Everyone i know that has sat in her chair has never gone to another stylist again! *Bonus: You feel really comfortable just chatting with her... very easy going and down to earth! Pros: AMAZING COLOR!!! a haircut that grows out perfectly Cons: i wish i could have that head massage more often more

Ditch your stylist and GO SEE JENNIFER KELLEY 2/9/2009

minherbert Provided by Partner
I found stylist Jennifer Kelley through the reco of a friend. THANK GOD. Jennifer is creative, a good listener and a consumate perfectionist . Plus, she's super nice. (Which is a major bonus since I'm usually in her chair for an hour or so.) I trusted her to do the obligatory "mommy hack" after I had twins and she gifted me with a sassy style that is a breeze to maintain yet still had some hip factor. She always has great advice and her cuts last forever. I like that they have hot coffee and tea availabe for us early birds. They're located in elegantly gritty Glenwood Park, which is right off I-20. Parking is free and plentiful. (P.s. - when my schedule doesn't permit me to see Jennifer I book with Jessica who is wonderful too.) more

Best Hair Stylist Ever...Jennifer Kelly 2/8/2009

KSeg Provided by Partner
I have been going to Jennifer Kelly at Soda Salon for over 3 years now, and I absolutely love her and the salon. First of all, the salon is a welcome change from ones I've been too in the past. There are different pieces of art by local artists almost every time I go there (every six weeks like clockwork), which provides a very cool atmosphere...not your typical salon. I also love the individual attention. I don't feel like I'm on an assembly line going from a colorist to a washer, to a stylist. It's just Jennifer the whole time; she's never with another client while I'm there. She always sits down and talks with me about what kind of style I want, what I want to do with my color, and the overall look I want to achieve. She has taught me so much about how to care for my hair and how to style it. I've actually gotten to the point where I enjoy getting up and doing my hair in the morning because I know it will look good. On top of that, she is one of the most caring and genuine people I know. She truly loves her job, and I feel like she genuinely wants me to love how I look. I'm not sure how to say this, but it's like she cares not only about your hair but about you as a person too, and therefore she puts so much care into her work, that she consistently exceeds expectations. more

As an East Atlanta resident, I have been going to Soda for quite a while. Unfortunately, Stephanie skipped town, so Andrew had done the last few cuts. He did a great Job! Completely satisfied, as you will be, too! Really nice staff, great space, and great Mexican restaurant for before or after your cut. What more could you ask for??? more

Little Known Gem in Grant Park 1/23/2009

mublogger Provided by Partner
I visited Soda in Grant Park on the reco of a neighbor (I recently moved to ATL from Philly) and I was not disappointed. I am a regular customer of Jennifer Kelley and have no complaints, only that I wish I could see her more often. I've been pleased every single time she's done my hair. Jennifer takes everything into consideration before going to work - what looks great on me, what I want, as well as what I can feasibly do with three kids and not much time to do my hair. The prices are competitive (and way cheaper than what I paid at a big fancy and very impersonal ATL salon) and the staff is friendly. In fact, I had to bring my baby the last time I visited her and the receptionist held her the entire time. It's nice to know that the "neighborhood" salons still exist, even in a big metropolitan city like Atlanta. Pros: Location, Parking, Service more

Best color & highlights, Best Haircut 9/14/2008

Kyle Wilcox has been doing my color and cut since I moved to Roswell in 2004. He is truly the best stylist in the Greater Atlanta area. Kyle was recommended to me by a salon here in Roswell, and I stayed with him as he made the move to Soda Atlanta. There are other salons, even a Soda in Roswell, but it is worth the extra time and effort to get down to the Atlanta location just for Kyle. My hair is in the best condition it's ever been (after years of coloring), and I have a cut that has great movement and style. Kyle is excellent at matching color, and mine looks so natural. Like it did when I was 25 years old! And his blowdry technique is the best of any stylist I've been to in over 20 years! I would go there just to have him style my hair! When you go to Soda Atlanta, make sure you ask for Kyle as he is THE BEST!! I will also say that Soda Salon is a great place as well. It's very relaxing, bright and clean and I love the changing displays of artwork all over the salon. Go for that, but definitely ask for Kyle if you want your hair to look it's very best!! Pros: Skilled stylists, ambience, parking, service more

Soda Salon has a wonderful setting. The location is wonderful and parking is always available. I've been following Kyle for 8 years now. Kyle has done wonders for my hair. He is always very professional and his advise is always right on. The low lights and high lights are perfect. The color never varies has I have experienced that in the past. Kyle has a technique that I've never seen before. He always listens to your concerns and always has a solution. If you need someone who is dependable and professional please take the time to visit with Kyle at Soda Salon. You will never regret it and you will continue to follow Kyle as I have been for many years. more

I've been getting my hair cut and colored at Soda Atlanta since they opened. The location is very cool and the atmosphere chic. Everyone is always very nice yet professional, they use Kerastasse products and I love the art on the walls. If you're looking for a new pair of scissors, you HAVE to visit Kyle W. He has never, ever let me down and I get compliments wherever I go, even to other salons for different services. He is a great listener and manages to translate what I want into exactly what my hair is capable of doing. Truly an artist-thank you Kyle!! more

Addicted to Soda! 3/5/2008

I have worked with and been a client of Soda since they opened their doors in Roswell in 2004. I have tried out numerous stylists at both locations for everything from haircuts and color to drag queen eyelash extensions and crazy over the top updos. I have had nothing but fantastic experiences at Soda and I am always impressed by the level service and sincerity from the Soda team to make you feel like a rock star. I can't stand the hustle & bustle of a lot of Atlanta salons - where you end up feeling like a moo-cow that is herded and hurried through the entire process. Soda makes you the center of attention and gives each client one-on-one service - complete with a glass wine or just about anything to make your experience a pleasant one. They did get me addicted to Kerastase products - but my hair is thanking me. Of note - the two locations are distinctly different - Grant Park has more of a hipster feel, while Roswell is a bit more metropolitan & polished. Both have the same level of upscale service and uber talented & friendly stylists. Pros: Great vibe, talented stylists, host cool community oriented events, Roswell location has a women's boutique in the front, plenty of parking at both locations. Cons: Roswell Soda can be a stretch if you live intown. Grant Park location can be a bit tricky to find at first, but it is in the new Glenwood Park community. more
