Leading edge dermatology, cosmetic surgery and spa with a truly personal touch 12/6/2006

I've been a regular patient of Dr. Sobel's for over 10 years and he and his staff's personal interaction with patients is a breath of fresh air in NYC. I have benefited from Dr. Sobel's expertise in skin and hair and his Park Avenue address is posh yet friendly. I have also used the spa treatments which are also excellent and run by experienced staff. Highly recommended if you want the star treatment. Pros: Modern, Friendly more

Dismissive, rude, and too many sales pitches 8/23/2006

They're very rude, don't listen to you, push their products/procedures and when you schedule a doc appointment, you're given a physicians assistant. Pros: Laser hair removal prices are reasonable Cons: Unfriendly, long waits, too much sales pressure more

went for a consultation - my skin is pretty good. was rushed and he barely looked at me or spoke to me. he wrote out a list of his own products, didn't shake my hand or introduce himself and i was quickly ushered to the front to buy them. he did not explain how i should take care of my skin or what ingredients to use or not use. it was traumatic. more
