Editorial review from Citysearch 8/14/2013

these guys are great! my dog swallowed something, and i was worried there might be blockage, etc. so i wanted to get him some help immediately. i really couldn't afford the expensive emergency vets so i wanted to find a local one. i initially went to the Value Vet down the road, and they told me to go here and i'm glad i did! i came in, and the receptionist told me the earliest appointment was two mornings away. i explained my situation, hoping for some advice on how to aide my little guy, and she went to speak with the vet (Dr. Call). when she came back, she offered to keep neko overnight, and that if dr. call could fit him in at any time, he would. i agreed, and was told they would keep me updated. only about four hours later i received a phone call saying that neko had been given an x-ray and some pain meds (along with some to take home) and that he was ready to go! i was amazed that dr. call had been able to fit him in. the bill was less than $200 for everything, and they are very understanding with payments. they seem to really care about the animals there, and i know who my vet is going to be! ignore the other bad reviews for sure, everyone i met in the lobby were raving about their services. they're so great! more

Caring, experienced vet 5/14/2013

\r UPDATE: 05-14-13\r \r I cannot say enough nice things about Dr. Call and his staff. My dog had a nasty hernia which Ive been putting off for a long time, because I was nervous and worried. He performed flawlessly and for such a reasonable price. \r \r He also took care of a friend's very very ill dog and did emergency surgery to save her life, on a Friday, on his own time. \r \r He is a life saver, literally, and does not rob you financially for his services.\r \r Dr Call has saved my chihuahua's life a few times. His staff is caring, Ive had everything from spays, neuters, teeth cleaning under anesthesia.... shots, general check ups, emergencies... he takes care of our pack (all small chihuahuas) with care. I refer him to everyone!\r \r Pros: fair pricing, wonderful staff, amazing vet more

This clinic is the BEST! 2/23/2012

We had to make the most difficult decision today that a pet owner will ever have to make, in whether or not to euthanize our beloved dog who was clearly suffering from the side effects caused by his Lymphoma. Dr. Call listened to us, was more than caring to our precious dog, and graciously helped us in coming to the right decision. Having to put down your pet is already hard enough, but with a caring doctor by your side, telling you the truth, in a loving and caring way, it helped us to find comfort in our deepest grief. We found this clinic just by driving by, but something prompted me to take Russell there. Dr. Call found his cancer and began treatment quickly and with great expert care. We've only been taking our dog there for a few months, but I promise you, we will never take our animals to any other clinic ever. SnoKing is the only place my dogs will ever been seen. more

my dog was rushed to the ER and given CPR 11/28/2011

In 2009 my dog had surgery and ran out of pain meds from the hospital and we went to dr. mark to get more. when we went back to the hospital they said they didnt know why dr. mark gave him MUSCLE RELAXERs and not pain meds. Now my dog is having heart and breathing problems and dr. mark said there was fluid in his lungs and he had a enlarged heart. we got meds for both, but my dog ended up in the ER lastnight to find out that dr. mark didnt fix the fluid in his lungs and its been building up. We had to give my dog CPR and he was put in a oxygen cage and is still there now. Plus before this dr.mark said my dog also had bursitis and while at the hospital we asked about it and its really a nerve problem and the meds for bursitis wasnt even helping. I will NEVER go here again and suggest every else not to unless its for a simple routine shot. more

Affordable vet fees 8/7/2011

I am torn between giving them five stars only because of their facilities. Dr. Call himself is a very capable veterinarian and who is very professional. My dog had chipped tooth which needed extraction. Her normal vet's office quoted 'the worst case senario' price which was very high. I searched and found Sno-King Veterinary Clinic. They quoted me a ballpark figure which was a fifth of the price. I immediately drove there to get a hard copy and while there asked the vet for a quick examination and write up a solid estimate instead of a ballpark figure. With such a good price, I like to prepay for services to lock in on that price. Dr. Call accessed my dogs condition and wrote me a quote very near the original ballpark figure which I paid on the spot. He then took my dog and performed the operation that day! This was a blessing due not knowing if my dog was in pain and her appt was four days away. Saved me alot of money and unnecessary worrying. Good: Affordable rates, excellent service Bad: Small front office in an older building. more

Best Vet in Snohomish 6/1/2010

Thumbs up! Pros: Great Veterinarian Cons: Front desk staff ditzy more

Best Veterinarian in Snohomish 6/1/2010

Dr. Mark Call is the most genuine and caring veterinarian I have met. Unlike VCA (which is down the street), he doesn't charge for most things, and is gentle and caring with my dogs. He is genuinely a great veterinarian. At VCA, they are extremely rude, and rough with animals. And even worse, they charge for every little thing and after treating my dog one time, she developed and skin infection. Thankfully, Dr. Call was able to fix the issue without charging for VCA's mistakes. The only issue I have with Sno King, is the front desk staff. They are rude and ditzy, but luckily Dr.Call makes up for the front desk staff. Pros: Genuine and caring Vet Cons: Rude and inept front desk staff more

Truly cares about your pet 3/3/2010

Last Saturday we picked up a puppy from a reputable breeder. Unfortunately our timing was extremely bad. The puppy seamed healthy when we picked her up. Unfortunetly, things went down hill in a hurry. By Monday morning she was clearly very sick (I'll spare you the details). My Wife's family has been using Sno King Veterinary clinic for about 20 years and I found their number on this website. After reading Mrayne's review I have to admit I second guessed calling but my Wife assured me that he was a really good vet. He is by far the best vet I have ever worked with. You could tell he really cared about our puppy and he didn't talk down to you like some Veterinarians do. Because our puppy was so sick he ended up taking her home over night twice so that he could keep an eye on her health. I would recommend this vet to anyone. His prices are reasonable and he truly cares about the animal. Pros: He cares and will do everything possible to help your pet. more

Wonderful and caring 3/1/2010

My puppy broke his leg, I was quoted 2200-3500 for an orthopedic surgeon, on top of the $400 I spent at the animal hospital just for an x-ray and consultation. The vet tried to talk me out of keeping him and relinquish ownership - my mother found the sno-king vet and I called and they quoted me 800-1500! Which is much more affordable than the other option. My puppy had is surgery and came home the next day, I went in a week later for a recheck and that appeared to have gone well so I am bringing him back this week for a final x-ray and hopefully to get his cast off. This vet is very kind, caring and actually cares about your pet. I would recommend this vet to everyone. Pros: Inexpensive compared to most animal hospitals, caring.. Cons: Having to wait all day to pick your animal up for a checkup more

Negligent, Dishonest, Rude, & Cheap 2/8/2010

When we were ready to get our 6 month old puppy spayed, we needed to find a place that was not only good but inexpensive. I called Sno-King Vet and found out it was a quarter of the cost of our normal vet. I was of course skeptical as to why it was so cheap but found only the best reviews online. So - what could go wrong? Pros: Cheap Cons: unfriendly staff, more

Would Highly Recommend This Vet 10/7/2009

I just recently switched from another Vet in the area. I was qoted 700 - 800 hundred dollars to clean my dog's teeth and extract two. I was shocked. Pros: Very clean, friendly, caring, and reasonably priced Cons: I didn't find any more

My cat died 3 days after being taken to this vet. He was given the wrong diagnosis. I will NEVER take another animal here ever again... and i suggest if you love your animals take them somewhere else as well. Pros: Absolutely nothing. Cons: Losing a loving companion. more
