Overlake Dental Care: Smith S Todd DDS

I also have been a pt there at overlake dental and have been rescheduled. They called and were very apologetic and did their best to get me back in. I truly believe and know that there must have a very important reason for the reschedule. Everyone has priority's and sometimes they come before work and until I find out the reschedule appointment was because the Dr. felt like going bowling or something instead of working then I put all my trust in the fact that it must be something absolutely necessary. If you have met Dr. Smith and get to know him I know you will see that he is the best Dentist you will ever find. even if there is an appointment that has to be changed or rescheduled just remember that he as a dentist is worth going to , despite the fact that he may have a priority that needs his attention(everyone has priority's over work) . He is by far worth the possibility of a rescheduled appointment. If that is a persons chief complaint and feels like writing a bad review because of it, then your not worthy of being his pt. more

Good: Sheila provide the most in depth care; truly knowledgeable and caring.. Bad: I've never after 4 visits, met the dentist. I've been scheduled for a consultation twice - both times they were canceled. I especially don't like their policy of not doing "cleanings". They instead will only do root planing, which is only minimally covered by insurance. Their charges seem to be discretionary as well (my coworkers and I were charged different rates for the exact same service - we have the same insurance). I just want a cleaning. I can't afford $700 for root planing per year.. Improvements: Staff is very friendly but where is the dentist? He seems to be a mystery character. I generally like to meet the dentist..at least once.. Other: Seriously check around b4 going here. No other dentists have required me to have root planing. My gum "scores" are normal. I should just be able to have a regular cleaning without the expensive extras but they won't do one without the other.. more
