Well Informed 8/22/2013

After moving to NJ, we tried Whippany Veterinary Hospital after briefly trying another local vet. We immediately felt comfortable around the office staff, vet techs, and Dr. Loucks. Dr. Loucks is always friendly and extremely knowledgeable with my five pets. She is very helpful when it comes to refilling or changing their medications. They provide us with all our pets' stats and keep us involved with the tracking of our pets' goals (such as lower weight, less tartar, more mobility/less arthritic symptoms). The staff has been very accommodating with appointments and they even call to check up on my pets after sick visits. We are happy to have discovered them. more

The best vet 2/27/2009

I have 2 very different breeds of dogs that I would not trust with any other veterinarian than Dr. Smith. She is the kindest, most compassionate doctor I know and is never too proud to refer to a specialist. If she can't figure out what is wrong with your animal (which is rare), her first concern is to get your pet to someone who can. Her staff is a reflection of her. They too, are kind, compassionate and very professional. I live in an area where there are many veterinary hospitals, but I drive 50 minutes to bring my dogs to Dr. Smith because she makes me feel as if my dogs are hers. more

I've been going to the Whippany Vet Hospital with my cats based on a referral from a friend. Dr. Smith and her staff are extremely compassionate and treat the pets and their owners with tremendous respect. Dr. Smith has extended hours during the week and is open on Saturday's which makes it much easier for me to get routine care as well as emergency care for my animals. I have called at the last minute and was always told that Dr. Smith would fit me in - that is the sign of a great Veterinarian as well as great customer service. more

Stay Away! 3/14/2008

They may be fine for regular checkups but they do not know how to diagnosis more serious ailments and refuse to admit when they don't know what they are doing. They tried different meds for 3 months for my dog and NEVER mentioned about referring him to a specialist while he became sicker and sicker. It was clear they didn't know what they were doing. I eventually took it upon myself to bring him elsewhere where the new place diagnosed him immediately but it was too late and he died 2 days later at 3 yrs old. He did not have to die if they just gave him antibiotics sooner! Stay away! more
