I currently have braces and because of financial circumstances I had to resource to a new Ortho. I went today for a 1st consult and it was AWFUL! A lady Dr. explained to me I would need all records from previous dentist & ortho. and worse case scenario I would need to remove my brackets and start over. I understood and agreed to it. Then I spoke to the man Dr. He was arrogant, unprofessional and in jeans! Really! At first I was cooperative and explained to him my previous ortho. was unable to work w/ me due to falling behind on payments. I said I understood new treatment and would give all records needed. Then he shocked me by blowing air out of his mouth throwing his body back...RUDE! I said if he couldn't help me, I understood, and I would go elsewhere! Mind you, the ""young"" staff hadn't even verified my insurance or the benefit balance I had to start any treatment. He gave me $ numbers as if I didn't understand and what I would pay I wouldn't be able to afford! And acted as if he didn't want to touch my brackets because it was ""unethical! I was offended, upset, and got up from my chair ending the conversation! We were both repeating ourselves w/ out any insurance info. On my way out the dental asst. led me back into his office w/ the insurance info. I refused to sit and stood @ the door. She explained the $ balace. He tried to explain the same thing and wanted me to sit. In my defense I am glad the asst. mentioned I was in a rush. He blew air out again! What a jerk! The asst. was helpful after she saw how pissed off I was!
I requested a payment plan for review. She offered to have me come in at another time or she could call me.
I walked out by saying, ""yeah, let's see if you call me"" and I left! I would not recommend this office not even to my worst enemy! I observed the clients and staff and could tell this Dr. takes advantage and is rude to them!
I am not on AHCSS like his normal clients who only speak spanish! If I couldn't pay for my braces I wouldn't have wasted my time! I have 2 jobs, insurance and he just lost busine$$ I speak english and I am a born U.S. Citizen. I have the choice of taking my busine$$ to someone who is smart, helpful and ""ethical"" to their clients! I will not return to this office! So, think about it twice before going!
