Skydive Maryland

DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS PLACE!! I PURCHASED A GIFT CERTIFICATE FOR MY SON TO HAVE AN EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME THAT ENDED UP BEING A TOTAL UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE!! HE ARRIVED FOR A SCHEDULED DIVE, WAITED OVER 4 HOURS, HE HAD NOT EATEN, AS ADVISED, WAS NOT OFFERED ANY DRINKS, WAS NOT GIVEN ANY INSTRUCTION UNTIL THEY TOOK OFF IN THE PLANE. HE PAID THE PHOTOGRAPHER EXTRA MONEY (WHICH IT WAS AN ALL INCLUSIVE PACKAGE PHOTOS AND VIDEO) THE PHOTOGRAPHER TOOK THE MONEY WITH ADDITIONAL PICTURES PROMISED!! THE JUMP WAS OVER HE WAS TOLD IT WOULD TAKE 2 HRS TO GET THE VIDEO AND PICTURES READY...HE WAS TIRED AND HUNGRY, HAD A 2 HR DRIVE HOME....WAS PROMISED PICTURES AND VIDEO WOULD BE SENT OUT PRIORITY MAIL NEXT DAY!! WELL HERE WE ARE 5 MONTHS LATER, TOLD BY LANCE WHO IS THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL PERSON TO DEAL WITH, THAT HIS PICTURES AND VIDEO ARE LOST, THE PHOTOGRAPHER LIVES OUT OF THE COUNTRY, SO BASICALLY SUCKS TO BE US...A ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY RUINED BY A BUNCH OF UNPROFESSIONAL IDIOTS!! NO CREDIT BACK TO US, JUST OH WELL THESE THINGS HAPPEN SOMETIMES!! MY PHONE CALLS ARE NOW IGNORED, NO CORPORATE NUMBER IS GIVEN, IT IS JUST A SHAME THAT PEOPLE LIKE THIS ARE ALLOWED TO RUN A BUSINESS SUCH AS THIS!! I was a part of 10 students of the UMBC campus that went to Skydive Maryland in Ridgely as a group jump. I had jumped once before, no one else in the group had, and we were all amazed by skydive maryland. They made us all feel at home right off the bat, even offering to order us a pizza (free of charge!). The staff was very nice. Thanks to Christiano for a great jump! cant wait to return more

So I have to start off by saying that this was by far the WORST interaction I have ever had with ANY business. My brother and I were planning on going skydiving here and we booked through skydive Maryland. The first time we drove all the way out to Ridgley, the person in charge Lance was first off extremely rude, and second had overbooked that day and wanted us to wait 7 HOURS to wait for a group of 15 people to go before us even though we had reservations for a specific time. The coward LANCE didn?t even have the decency to come and tell us himself that he had messed up, he sent one of the instructors. So we went home and rescheduled for another day, we made the 3 hour drive back to Ridgley a few months later with an appointment time of 2 PM. This time LANCE told us there was one person in front of us and then we would get started so ?just hang tight?. So we hung tight for 3 HOURS. And then thunderstorms came in. And again the coward LANCE didn?t have the decency to tell us himself that we couldn?t jump that day he again sent an instructor. I understand you cant jump in poor weather, but to make us wait 3 hours for no good reason when the weather was just perfect, to only tell us we cant jump in a thunderstorm when our appointment was for 2 pm is absurd. So finally LANCE said if the rain thunderstorm passes by 7PM we could jump today and that he would be there all day so if we wanted to run into town and hang out he would call us if it clears up. So we did that and around 6:30 PM we decided to come back to the jump site and of course LANCE is no where to be found. To summarize, this place is terrible. I typically do not write reviews for places but this was the WORST experience if my life. LANCE is basically a hippie who does not know how to run a business and it shows. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and he has absolutely no respect for patrons and their time. DO NOT GO HERE, you will regret it. Cons: the entire experiance more
