Skippers Cove Restaurant

We ate at Skippers Cove last Feb. when we were at the beach for Valentines weekend. I loved this place so much for several reasons. First...reasonably priced. Second...Broiled and steamed seafood on the buffet(I am sick of buffets with only fried seafood...). Third...Had great variety of foods on buffet. (I don't think I have ever seen sea scallops and bay scallops on a buffet fried and broiled in butter...but they had them on there!!!) Fourth...the staff and owner were sooooo friendly and accommodating. It was a real joy to be waited on and surrounded by workers who you could tell...really loved working there. Fifth...(Personal opinion) We are Christians that do not drink alcohol. I liked this place because they did not serve alcohol...and played Christian music the entire time we were there....(very rare). When the owner came over to ask if we needed anything....we commented on the music...and she shared that she and her family were Christians as well. We felt really ""at home"". I encourage all people to try this restaurant....but challenge all fellow Christians to go seek it out, and support these fellow believers in their awesome God honoring family business. more

This PLace is FABULOUS! So as the other guy says... it is an older building. It is however clean. If you leave because of the appearance, you are missing out. Great food, Clean place, friendly staff, and the owner is wonderful. I am headed that way soon and will definitely be visiting Skippers Cove. more

Sounds great - buffet with crab legs - but the inside needed remodeling and a good cleaning. We didn't stay and eat. Pros: None Cons: Couldn't get past appearance more
