Skatell's is hands down the best jeweler in town!! My fiancé and I had a wonderful experience picking out my ring and the process was easy and fun not to mention very informative. We learned a lot about diamonds and never felt any pressure to purchase anything we were not a 100% sure about. We went to many stores in Charlotte and did not feel good about the quality of the stones nor with the sales experience. We were pleasantly surprised that their prices were so competitive and we were able to find exactly what we were looking for in the store. They have a beautiful selection of settings and not just trendy but unique. I understand they can make whatever you want!! Ask for Mike Ealy... he really knows his diamonds and you'll never regret your decision to shop at Skatell's!! We are customers for life. more

I am not one to write reviews, but my husband and I have received such exceptional customer service from ALL of the members of the Skatell's team that I had to make it known that we have received nothing but first class service all the way!\r \r My husband purchased my stunning engagement ring from Skatell's several years ago. He said he felt so great about making this big purchase with Skatell's because of the fantastic service he received from the knowledgeable associates and the incomparable quality of the stones. The custom band was exactly what I had in mind and knowing it is custom makes it all the more special!\r \r We returned to purchase our wedding bands from Skatell's, of course, and several years later I decided I wanted my engagement ring and my wedding band fused to minimize the spin of the rings. While I was there I saw a band with larger stones than in my wedding band and really liked how it looked with my engagement ring. \r \r After several visits with Erin I decided to upgrade my wedding band and she really took the time to make sure I was 100% satisfied with the end product. \r \r While my husband and I were there for my wedding band adjustments we spotted gorgeous diamond studs that were on sale. Everyone at Skatell's is so nice and helpful. They can make and design ANYTHING! Mike custom made the bands to go around my wife's engagement ring, and he made a white gold pin for us in the shape of the Las Vegas sign. Simply incredible people, products, and service. more

Skatell's has been working with me since I was about 12 years old! My grandmother left me jewelry when she passed but most of it is not my style. Skatell's made me a gorgeous necklace with one of her diamonds, and a stunning custom ring setting for a 45 carat amethyst she had. Along with jewelry restoration this is definitely a go to of mine! Would recommend to anyone because of their dedication and attention to detail in every piece they sell and create! more

Hands down, Skatell's ARE the best jewelers in Charlotte, NC. They made an absolutely AMAZING engagement ring for me, custom designed on site! I shopped the mall stores (ugh) and I went to Diamonds Direct ( HIGH PRESSURE!!!) before going to Skatell's. The staff at Skatell's was very informative, HONEST, and frankly down to earth. Mike and his awesome team of artisans crafted several pairs of incredible cuff links and pendants that featured interesting ancient Roman/Greek and vintage US coins...Mercury Dimes, Buffalo Nickels, Indian Head Pennies and $5 Gold Pieces. Mike and his team did a masterful job and my family and I are enjoying them immensely. When are days are done they will make great heirlooms for are children and their children. I can't explain how comfortable Mike and Erin made me feel as soon as I walked in the door. I love supporting local, family owned businesses and this business is a testament to a hard working, intelligent and passionate team doing what they love every day. I had also visited Diamonds Direct, but working in sales I really felt that they were taking the used car salesmen approach. It is very much a turn and burn atmosphere there, which is fine if that is what you are looking for. Mike @ Skatell's did a fantastic job of actually sitting me down and educating me about EVERYTHING diamond related...not just the visual details of the stone but also the business behind it, mount building, etc. He even let me behind the scenes to see how they do what they do. The pricing was extremely fair and they went above and beyond to answer my questions. Definitely check this place out if you want to feel like a valued client, not just a number! more

I purchased an engagement ring at Skatell's in Charlotte and couldn't be more happy with the customer service I received or the deal on the ring. There was no pressure to buy out of my budget. There were no extra fees added on the end. The diamond I bought was at a great price and most importantly my fiance loves it. After proposing, I needed the ring sized quickly before she went out of town and they came through with the great customer service they promised. I'd definitely suggest going to Skatell's. more

Skatell's has been incredibly helpful to my fiance and I as we designed my engagement ring and our wedding bands. The entire staff is incredibly friendly, and they genuinely care about making you happy as the customer. They certainly love their jobs because throughout the several visits we've shared since October, they have been just as enthused as we have been to get our jewelry! They have such great attention to detail and truly put your wants first. You always feel like a priority customer as soon as you enter the door. Prior to working with Mike at Skatell?s, they were recommended to me by my family and friends. Until working with Mike, I had never purchased a piece of jewelry before in my life and was jumping in feet first to design an engagement and wedding band set for my now fianc?. With a few ideas in mind, Mike took the time to sit down with her and I and gave us undivided attention. He knew we were both a bit hesitant as we had never looked at diamonds before. We were asked the kinds of things we liked in jewelry and we came up with a few ideas of what we would be interested in. We were then shown many different options to help us narrow down to a few choices. My fianc? and I talked about our choices and went back to him explaining we were torn between two sets. Skatell's was able to merge the two rings in a custom set and after looking at the design, we realized this had always been what her and I had wanted. Once the rings were ordered, I couldn?t wait to pick them up. The completed rings took my breath away. What Mike and Skatell?s was able to create were the most amazing and beautiful rings my fianc? and I could have ever imagined. It was our privilege to be able to work with Skatell?s. The attention we received, the level of service and quality of the work was far above what we had expected. I walked into Skatell's on a referral. It was an excellent example of superior customer service from start to finish. Erin was knowledgeable about how to re-set 24 year old wedding/engagement rings. She gave me information. Direction. Options. Pricing. She was so good in fact....that my search for the right person to handle my request ended right there. The job was completed on time and on budget. And my ""new"" rings are more beautiful than I would've ever imagined they could be!! For friendly, expert service, that was professional and timely.....look no further. Everything and more that I had hoped for. I am 100% pleased that I chose Skatell's. GREAT JOB! more

I had a very unfortunate experience with Skatells with redesigning my wedding set. I chose Skatells based on so many wonderful reviews online as well as a recommendation from a friend. The entire process was short of what was promised at the beginning. The computer images were never provided as was promised when I began the design. The first set produced had many of the qualities that I had not wanted in the new set that we had discussed. One of my accent diamonds did not look right and when asked she said it was ""an inclusion"". I knew these stones were clear when I dropped them off and were examined by both of us and this ""inclusion"" was never there. I took the ring to another jeweler who examined the stone and said it was ""fractured""=broken. In fact, when the stone was removed to return to me it came out in pieces. In the end, I seriously questioned their integrity and honesty and wanted my stones returned and a refund. Skatells did not deliver as promised and were dishonest in the process. The process was extremely heartbreaking as wedding sets are very emotional and took over 3 months. I would not recommend Skatells for custom design. more
