the park is great but the lines suck and the black top makes it unbearably hot and almost suffocating. Take bottled water and pack a lunch to eat in the car if possible!

Miserable day at the park! 4/8/2010

I took my six year old son to six flags today and I wish we would have stayed home instead! From I-20 just outside the park, it took over 1 1/2 hours to get into the park. Oh yeah, it cost me $15 to park. Thankfully, I printed online tickets otherwise I would have waited another hour to purchase tickets at the gate. Once inside the park, all roller coasters were between a 60 and 90+ minute wait. Are you kidding? Just before the lunch rush hit, we got in a relatively short line to order lunch - 30 minutes later we finally got our food at the cost of $14.00 (one hamburger, fries and drink). We decided to stay away from any ride with a wait time of 20+ minutes. I think he rode 7 kiddie rides before we decided to call it a day at 3:30 p.m. There was really no use in staying any longer. To wrap it up, we had a hard time of finding the exit gate. I asked one of the security guards and he suggested we get into the exit line to have our hand stamped so that we could return later in the day. What a way to end the day. more

Six Flags has the most rude, unprofessional customer service I have ever encountered. I contacted the risk management department regarding an incident that took place at Six Flags and was treated with the most blatant disrespect . Pros: none Cons: rude, unprofessional customer service more

UNSAFE!!!! parking lot 10/31/2009

We came to fright fest with our kids hoping to have a great Halloween. 90% of the employees we encountered were friendly, helpful, and very polite. When we left to go home we found our car had been broken into...which security informed us was a common occurrence in the parking lot. After paying 15.00 to park, and seeing 10 cops/security guards standing around talking to each other and doing nothing at the gates exiting the park? But they know car theft/damage is a recurring problem? No wonder all the criminals have such an easy time stealing from visitors. Don"t waste your money just to get robbed!!!! Pros: the upside: Most of the employees were very friendly Cons: Too many rude teens/criminals running loose w/o supervision more

I noticed that several good reviews seemed to have magically appeared that are completely adverse to the first. Oh there have been changes, but for the worse. The prices have gone up drastically. I remember paying $20 to get in. I understand that with an increase in minimum wage, fuel costs, consumer confidence down and an overall depressed economy, that people are less likely to have disposable income. So why so expensive for such a lousy visit? $45 per adult on premises/ $30 online (for now). Wow. I have been to prohibitively expensive theme parks all over this country. Some of them you walk away from saying, "That was pricey" but you've had a memorable time. Six Flags over GA IS NOT in that category. You have buyers remorse about a half hour (or less) into the visit. As for the staff being terrible, that's because the company will only pay sixteen year olds minimum wage so... that's what you get. Its a fast food level of customer service with rides. And for whomever is writing these positive reviews (one right after the other), glad you had such a great time. Pros: Its in town. Cons: Staff, staff, lines, staff, cleanliness, overall quality of visit more

Worst customer service, terrible food, not enough bathrooms, mediocre coasters 6/30/2008

Staff was blatantly careless, indifferent, and at times flat out rude. $40 Admission was extremely overpriced relative to the quality and quantity of rides offered. I grew up 30 minutes from Cedar Point so I have high amusement park standards....but this was just pathetic. "Superman" was decent, but was extremely short. Batman was out of service. Food selections were limited to pulled pork, hamburgers, chicken fingers and pizza. Pizza was an even worse version of Papa Johns and they charged $25 for a whole pizza. They nickel and dimed us the whole day, forcing us to rent lockers for my GF's purse before boarding Goliath, $15 parking, $5 beverages. Above all, beyond the poor food, poor facilities, poor ride quality and poor ride selection, the unbelievably rude employees took the cake. I arrived at 6 flags excited and in a great mood. I left 6 flags wanting to go postal. And broke. Pros: none Cons: expensive food, poor quality food, poor scenery, poor ride selection, awful service more

Rude terrible employees, Nasty food. One of the children in our church group was attacked by an adult verbally and was threatened (profanely) right in front of security and nothing was done. It wasnt crowded and it was a friday so that at least was a positive. more

Good rides, but it got much more expensive all of a sudden! 3/24/2007

What happened this year (2007)? I like Six Flags - I buy a season's pass every year or two, but even the early-season price went up $20 this year! $15/day for parking? Too rich for me - I'll have to look for cheaper entertainment options elsewhere. The whole point of the season's pass was to be able to drop by for a few hours in the evening to avoid the crowds and heat. Maybe others can afford these prices to ride a handful of rides per visit - but I can't. It's a shame - the rides are great. more

The rides were fun. The park was a bit hilly for families with small children. Food at Ms. Dixies was deplorable. Pros: Rides Cons: Staff, Layout, Food more

High Dollar 7/14/2006

I know the real estate in Atlanta is expensive, but $15 to park in the parking lot, $49 to get in the park, $8 for a drink, not to mention if you want to ride anything, Flash pass $35 first person. This park would be nice if the prices were more family oriented. Not to mention the extras that cost. Big Money more

You will definately need a couple hundred dollars to have a good time at this park. Everything you do once you get in the gate cost you. If you are planning to ride any rides at all you should bite the bullet and get ripped off a little more and get the Q-bot Gold pass. So you can actually ride the rides without waiting all day. But Its gonna caost you about $170 dollars for 6 people. The employees were definately rude. You could tell that 99% of them werent making it a career. Pros: Buy the Fast Pass, Good Rides Cons: Overpriced, Long Lines, Rude Employees more

The cost is high and the lines are long 4/14/2005

SixFlags is over priced for food, games etc.. They need to replace Ninga, Cyclone and Dejauv. Dejavu is always broken and Ninga is a neck breaker. SixFlags employees are rude. On a normal day you maybe get to ride 5-6 rides. SixFlags needs to clean up their employees, rides, prices and the park itself (nasty). SixFlags needs to look into some different rides like I have seen at other SixFlags parks. If the rides are great for other locates then why not Atlanta? SixFlags need to stay open later like they use to. I loved riding the rides at night when it was dark outside. I don't why they have lights on the rides when they close before dark. When I was a kid I would SixFlags until 11:00 or 12:00 at night. The later it got the more rides you could ride. They were fun riding at night. Pros: Some Rides, Shows Cons: Prices, Nasty Park, Lines more

Six Flags need some serious help! 3/2/2003

OK...so when I was a kid, the prices of tickets were fairly decent. As I got older, the prices rose. That would be OK, if I knew what I was paying for. The service by the employees was very poor, the facilities were disgusting, the landscaping was poorly kept. Not to mention, if I wanted to use fastpass, I had to pay for it. At the Disney parks, you just use your ticket. You don't have to pay another $20 or so to use the fast pass device. Six Flags need to take a lesson from Disney. They may have more thrill rides, but Disney scored higher in everything else! Pros: thrill rides Cons: poor customer service, dirty, expensive more

You will be Hooked! 9/18/2002

A season pass is definitely the way to go if you plan to go to Six Flags over Atlanta. The lines to ride the rides are long, so buy the advance to the front badge. It's worth it. Next, get ready to be wisked away on the Superman ride. You will be riding with your arms stretched out and your face facing the ground. It's worth the wait. Next, avoid Acrophobia. Dropping that fast from the gound is just a terror. My man and I go so much that we should become stockowners in Six Flags. Sure, it does not have nearly as many roller coasters as Six Flags Magic Mountain, but it suits us just fine for a hometown favorite. more

I used to look forward to visiting Six Flags every summer while growing up, but now it is just miserable. Careless employees, unbearable guests and unkempt facilities are absolutely ridiculous. The Monster Plantation is quite pitiful. This will be the last year I will waste money on a season pass. Pros: Fun Rides, Close to Atlanta, Cheap Season Passes Cons: Obnoxious Crowds, Mind-numbing Lines, Illiterate Employees more
