Good food, terrible service 6/21/2005

Love the food at Siros, but had two terrible experiences recently. Had reservations both evenings, only to show up and find one hour and then one hour and a half-long waits respectively. Both times we were offered outdoor seating - on cold evenings. Second time we waited the hour and half only to have the food come almost an hour after we had ordered. A long and painful night...I won't go back. Pros: Good food Cons: Terrible service, Expensive more

No Complaints 4/6/2004

My last trip to Siro's was on Valentine's Day a few years ago - a big mistake. So when I went on a recent Tuesday night, I didn't know what to expect. I was very pleasantly surprised. We were seated immediately by the window overlooking the water. The service was friendly and we were not rushed at all. The salad was fresh and crisp and the shrimp scampi among the best I have ever tasted. I can't say enough about this place. It was awesome! Don't go to Siro's!!!!!!! 8/9/2003

I feel the 8 dollars for ice cream down the pier after dinner was a much better deal. For the price of the food, it should have actually been filling. Not only was there very little food, but the food we did get was terrible. I would NOT recommend you go there unless you want to waste all of your money and go home hungry, but hey if that's your thing, then you will love it. I can honestly say I will never go there again, and after talking to my friends, they all asked me why I would have ever gone there, because they all had the same bad experience. more

Dining at the Dock 12/17/2002

This particular Siros - one of a handful in the Boston area - is located directly on the pier surrounding the boat slips at Marina Bay in Quincy, MA. It is a spectacular spot (unless you dislike water views and boats). The food and service change somewhat with the seasons, as the clientele and volume of visitors varies considerably based on the time of year. The summer is wild, and the winter is serene. Pros: nice in summer, fun summer crowd Cons: cool in winter, good weather crowds more

  • To be fair, when it is bad appears to have a lot to do with when it is overcrowded. Try to avoid eating dinner here on weekends and holidays, especially during the summer...
