I have been with Simsbury pediatric for over 3 years now. They have few decent doctors but you never get a chance to see them, unless you have a scheduled appointment in advance. \r
When you child is running a high fever, or a cough you have to go in and see who ever is free.\r
One of the biggest complaints that I have, is that the Drs. In that office like to guess a lot on diagnoses instead of running tests right a way.\r
Last time my daughter was running a high fever (she is 1.5 years old), I had to take her there 3 times ( 3 different Dr.)\r
First one said she has a strep, gave her an antibiotic-turned out she was wrong she did not have strep. Few days latter her fever got worth I went back in to see Dr. Johnston, probably the most in competent Dr, they have. She though it was an ear infection, however she decided to take some of the ear wax out to see better ( that costed me 100) and she confirmed ear infection ( 2 different diagnoses in 2 days) give me another antibiotic\r
We go home, 2 days latter my child is running 103.4 fever I called them back again 3rd appointment. We go back in to see the nurse and she tells us that its not an ear infection nor is it a strep it seems to be a virus and we just have to wait it out.\r
So after all that, 3 appointments 2 different antibiotics and 600$ later ( which they refused to reduce since they don’t care) it just went a way.\r
I am switching office and I would not recommended them to any one, as all they do is guess, throw things against the wall and see if it sticks.\r
Very unprofessional and very uneducated Doctors.\r
Stay as far a way from that office as you can, there are PLENTY of great offices out there I have a lot more examples of how unprofessional that office is email me if you have any questions
