The Green
The well-manicured tract meanders through tight, pine tree-lined fairways and out onto open, wind-swept links. Water hazards, while rare, are well-positioned. A lake fronting Nos. 9 and 18 provides a climactic finish to your front nine or round. On the ninth, a long drive offers the opportunity to go for the green in two in a classic risk/reward par-five. On No. 18, the decision is whether to shoot for the pin tucked on the left side of the green behind the water, or play a safe approach to the right. Silverthorn's large, sloping greens are moderately paced.
