DISRESPECTFUL BOUNCER AND DJ TOWARDS WOMEN 3/26/2012

HORRIBLE experience.. held a party ..bouncers and DJ were very disrespectful towards my guests..used improper language and got even physical --SOME KIND OF A POWER RUSH going on in their heads..REALLY DISAPPOINTED as this was not the first time I went there and held a party.. LEFT GOOD BUSINESS- no one disrespected any of the staff serving our party-- AND THAT""S THE THANKS YOU GET AT SIDE TRACKS - JUST THOUGHT I'D SHARE THIS WITH YOU before anyone plans to do GOOD business with that place FROM HELL. You are better off paying a little more elswhere without the BULLYING OF GUESTS. BOUNCERS are there to keep you safe and DJ to play the MUSIC. HORRIBLE PEOPLE TO DEAL WITH.. BOUNCER'S NAME IS RICK AND STEVE--SPREAD THE WORD. more

Drinks and Music is great. 9/29/2011

I have been there about four times this year after midnight. I have never eaten there but the music and club experience is about the best in Queens. Drinks are not very expensive and no cover. It's better than any over priced Manhattan club on a Saturday night. more

Kind of a Thuggy Atmosphere 5/20/2011

If guys in black silky shirts with gold jewelry and heavy set girls in tight tight short dresses are you're kind of folks, welcome to Sidetracks. Sorta like ""Jersey Shore"" comes to QNZ Blvd. The food was just all right-- I'd classify it as so-so diner food, with a fairly bland menu. The service was okay. I cannot understand the place's popularity as far as the food and atmosphere is concerned. The front windows do open up, so I can see how , on nice evenings, one can sit at the windows with a drink and watch the people and traffic on Qnz Blvd, but aside from the place holds no charm. more

Consistent Good Time 11/14/2010

We live in Sunnyside and eat here several times a month. Because of the excellent service (Eamon is the best!) and the delicious food, we opted to have our rehearsal dinner in their private room. As always, it was delicious and we were so pleased to have Sidetrack's representing Sunnyside - our guests all had a wonderful time and were quite impressed! more

Always good food and nice service 10/27/2010

I eat here 3-4 times a month and always have a great meal and pleasant friendly and professtional service. The soups a great. The portions are good. Very attentive service. They raise money for lots of organizations in the area with golf outings, etc. I have never had a dish I didn't enjoy. Sadly I had to use their back room for a funeral lunch and honestly they were wonderful. more

Nice entrees, but needs work on the attitude 3/20/2010

I first went to this bar/restaurant shortly after moving to sunnyside. My parents and I enjoyed the food, and we had a nice experience. So if you want a nice dinner, and can get there early, this is a nice place to eat..... HOWEVER.... you're pretty much hit or miss on the service, and the place as just passable appetizers, and drinks. We've had servers mix up our credit card with others, not clear our table, and disappear from the floor (poof!). Appetizers or just ok; I could probably do the same buying frozen appetizers from the supermarket. The drinks are inconsistent and geared toward the younger crowd, being overly sweet, and light on alcohol. Unless your a 20-something year old, looking for a ""hip"" (for sunnyside) place on a Friday or Saturday night, stay away. The music is overly loud, there's no place to sit, and there are only a couple of waitresses. Here is my last experience. We got there once on a friday night around 9:40, 2 other tables having dinner. We asked are they still serving, and were told please have a seat, and taken to a table. We were looking for some place to sit and chat with friends. Some DJ started loud music around 11pm (annoying, but understandable).... BUT then around 11:20 some guy comes up to our table and tells us, it's reserved and we have to leave the table. I'm pretty shocked, and ask the waiter when he comes. He says ""oh, yeah"".. Well, we pay and haven't gone back since. You never know when a table will be ""reserved"" again, so why bother. Pros: Nice entrees Cons: everything else needs work, - service- drinks- music etc. more

Just awesome! 1/7/2010

Hubby and I have gone there for dinner twice in the last 2 months and both times have loved it. The menu has great variety (I don't eat meat or poultry), everything is fresh and the service couldn't be better. Try the HOME MADE Tiramisu whoa. Delish!\r \r They've redecorated since I had been there years ago, and it's so hip and relaxing. Great spot. Pros: love the food and ambiance Cons: parking sucks around there more

My Fav. Restaurant in Queens 12/3/2008

This is hands down my all time favorite restaurant in Queens. I've been going here for years and I just adore this gem. The ambiance is top notch, perfect for cocktails and appetizers on a Friday or a full on dinner any night of the week. The all stafs are all super friendly and I consider many to be friends, as we've gotten to know each other over the years. I would recommend to anyone.\r \r Pros: food, service more

not very friendly to the older set. 8/29/2008

if you are over 40, make sure you leave by 7pm. they don't want us old people around any more. bring back sidetracks to the glofry days of when it first opened. more

Welcome To SIDECRAP!! 7/18/2008

I am in my thirties and have lived in Sunnyside all of my life. Some friends and I decided to go to this place for a few drinks on a thursday night and were appalled by how we were treated. The guy at the door was rude and obnoxious. He wanted to charge 20 dollars per person to get in the place and even shoved us out of the way when we were trying to ask a question. They are trying to portray an upscale environment because of their renovations but maybe they should hire staff with manners and respect for their costumers. Unless you are flashing your wallet, your body and your lack of class this place is definitely not worth your time. And If you are thinking of going during the week for the food, don't bother, that's pretty tasteless too. Cons: EVERYTHING more

looks class 4/6/2008

very well designed. they do need to work on the lighting to pull it together.\r and guys why ? why? why? spend alll that dosh on decor and fail to splash out on the chef\r treat yourself . get a new menu, chef and d.j. spend $20,000 advertising it, hire a manager (on $$$)\r and make some real money. Pros: looks fab Cons: just is not fab more

Lots of flatscreen TV, good sports bar around Sunnyside, very fancy decor for a sports bar 12/9/2007

Went here to watch a big NFL network football game. The service was really good. There are many flat screen TVs and the restaurant is split up into half bar, half dining. The decoration of the place is very fancy and reminds me of Tonic from Manhattan. The prices are manhattan prices but surprisingly the food was pretty good. I got a good burger from them and our appetizers were pretty good. If you want a local pub theme, there are other irish bars in the area. But if you want a very nice sit down area to watch a dinner, relax , and watch Football with friends, this is a good pick. We had an amazing hostess (an older irish woman) who went out of her way to reserve us a good table in front of the TV and treated us with great hospitality. Also, I lived by the area so I hope they place stays. However, the restaurant should turn off the mood music and put on the football game sound when big games are on. Pros: lots of flat screen TV, good food, tons of locals gather to watch big games Cons: too fancy for a rowdy football game match, a little pricy for Sunnyside more

Good neighborhood spot 11/5/2007

This place has a typical sunnyside, queens vibe-multi cultural.People come here to watch a game or have some decent bar food in a place nicer than a bar.The beer selection is pretty good and the bartenders are cool. It's more like a lounge/restaurant with no pretention. There's always a couple of locals having dinner at the bar who are quick to include you in the conversation. It's a good spot. more
