To be fair also, I would like to tell others of my experience with Dr. Sickles. I would highly recommend googling his name along with the word complaints before visiting him. He is extremely nice and friendly but I do feel as if the dental work I had done was unnecessary. My first visit was to fix a filling that fell out. I was 36 and had this filling since I was 13 and Dr Sickles told me I would need a root canal along with a crown. He put a temporary filling in until my next visit. During my first visit I sat in one of the cubicles I heard him tell the previous two people that the fillings they had in their mouths were old and would need to be replaced. He told me the same thing about my other fillings that were NOT giving me any problems. When I came back for my second visit to have a root canal he pulled out my tooth and told me I was being fitted for a bridge. This information was never conveyed to me that this would be a possibility nor did I know how much my insurance would pay. I again heard him tell someone else next to me that their fillings were old and would need to be replaced (what are the chances?). His charges seemed extremely high and I was billed wrongly. I do think these practices need to be looked into further and at the time I wish I would have filed a complaint.
