My ferret has been suffering with a tumor in her groin area (she had already had a previous tumor on her tail years ago, which was successfully amputated at a different animal clinic). I already knew operation or a cure was not an option, so I took her into Sibley Animal Hospital to put her down to ease her suffering. I was the only patient waiting and still had to wait a good thirty minutes to be seen. I requested euthanizing my animal right away because I thought it would be the humane thing to do, but was advised by the doctor to administer an anti-biotic orally as well as to use a topical treatment on the fast growing tumor. The vet looked me right in the eye and said she will not survive the tumor but still wouldn't let me put her down. I was charged $90 for the entire visit and my ferret is still suffering. I am a broke college graduate, do not have money for repeat visits or the heart to see my pets suffer so that someone else can make money off of me. I am extremely displeased with my visit at this clinic and will not be going back.
