Best

I loved this place, they took very good care of my favorite leather coat, redying the worn edges so that it looked like new again.

Worst

The place closed and took two pairs of my shoes. One pair ran me about $800. Will I be seeing them on Ebay soon? I want my shoes back but how will I find them? Did anyone else have this problem? Pros: Got back one pair before they closed Cons: They still got away with two pair more

Awesome shoe repair man! 8/15/2007

They did an EXCELLENT job repairing my shoes. I like to buy expensive shoes, buy have a habit of wearing them out. I brought in espadrilles and he was able to repair them to look like new! I was amazed and so happy that I did not need to invest in an entirely new pair of shoes. Even my shoes that barely had a heel left, where I was walking on the nail or on the rubber inside, he was able to repair and look like new. He even took some pattern from the inside of the shoe and put in on the heel where I had scraped away the shoe to make it look like new! Pros: Phenominal workmanship Cons: Costly, takes a while to complete the job more

Never Going Back! 8/6/2007

I brought in my English riding boots a week before I needed them to be cut down and stretched (for the following weekend). I went in a week to the day to check on the boots and they weren't ready (was told they would be). The gentleman with the thick Eastern European accent said they would be ready "tomorrow" as he looked down with his eyes behind the counter, i.e. my boots were still sitting in the same place the woman placed them a week prior when I dropped them off! I picked them up the next day, however, they weren't cut down low enough (were cutting at the back of my knee); and they needed to be stretched further (am I really to expect that overnight stretching was to do the trick?). i said to the Eastern European accented woman (wife?) that I would take them for the weekend (because I needed them) but thta I would return on Monday. I returned on Monday with the boots and was told that I would be recharged to have them cut down further but the stretching was free. I'd just spent $97 for this service and now they wanted more $$. No way, I'm not going back for the reasons noted above--and my husband and I along with our daughter have plenty of opportunity to need their service. Pros: Close to my Office Cons: Sacrificed customer service & future business for the almighty dollar! more

I went in because they were close to the office. I walked out impressed. The guy has some thick, Eastern European accent and gives the impression that he came out of the womb working on shoes. Beyond doing a good job where it counts, he was also sharp as a tack -- remembered my face and my shoes just from seeing me twice. I'll go back any time I need a repair and am in the city. more
