Sharratt Chiropractic

I came to this office in the Summer of 2011 with severe back pain. Sharratt took x-rays and pointed confidently at some ""sublaxations"" in my spine and said he knew exactly how to fix my pain with no qualifiers that he might be wrong. I'd seen a few folks before that didn't do anything for me, so I was relieved when a health professional was so sure that they knew what was going on and how to fix it. \r \r Turns out he had no idea what was going on with me. I spent one or two months seeing him 3 times a week with no results. That of course was disappointing considering not once did he doubt his ability to fix me, but it got worse. Halfway into it I asked him what he thought about physical therapy, and that maybe I would try that it in the absence of positive results with him. He said there's no way PT would be of help, specifically stretching and strengthening muscles is nothing compared to the deep treatment he offered. So I took his advice, and PT ended up being my savior. So not only did he take my money and not help me, he delayed me finding my real answer.\r \r Finally, I was getting massages at his office to help relax the pain. Somewhere in the middle of my time there my insurance company sent a request for re-evaluation. (They apparently knew this wasn't helping before I did) And based on Sharratt's report, they discontinued coverage because it wasn't helping my pain. Crappy, but it happens. The part I feel cheated about is that Sharratt's office never told me this review was happening, so I kept coming and getting treatment plus massages. A few weeks later, I get a notice the last month or so of adjustments and massages are not covered and I owe everything out of pocket. The admin even told me that when there's an insurance review, almost always do they halt coverage. So they could've told me this was going to happen! Instead I kept coming in, racking up thousands in treatment that wasn't doing anything for me long-term as Sharratt had promised. Everything about my experience convinced me that the office was much much more interested in my money than my well-being.\r \r Oh one more, the religious material in and around the office was a bit much. I fully support his faith, but I think religious propaganda has no place in a health office. more

I have been going to Dr. Sharratt for several months and my back pain is so much better! Everyone in the office is kind and cares about the patients! more

I am very happy with my experience in your office. My goal was to get rid of my pain. My pain is still here but I do think it is much better than it was when I began treatment. Everyone seems interested in my health and really listens to me. I truly appreciate that. I doubt if I will ever be without the pain but I did learn how to make it less severe and it isn't constant anymore. Thanks to all of you. more

I'd like to share my experience of massage therapy at Sharratt Chiropractic, particularly with Mandy Holtz. I've had sessions with Mandy for at least the past six months now and I must say the she is wonderful. She is so pleasant and always puts you at ease. I've felt that way from my very first session with her. I look forward to my massage therapy sessions with her because I always leave feeling great! She shows genuine care and feeling for you. She always asks you where you are feeling any aches and pain or any areas to concentrate on at the beginning of your visit. Even when you can't identify that for her she will find the areas that need the most attention. She is so gifted. I've had a great experience with Sharratt Chiropractic. When I was first in my car accident the ER doctor gave me pain killers and sent me on my way. I wasn't given any tools to fix the problems with my back and neck. My lawyer referred me to Dr. Sharratt and his work has helped me tremendously. Before coming to Dr. Sharratt I couldn't sit or stand for longer than a minute without feeling intense discomfort. With the help of Dr. Sharratt and his staff I can do so much more. At first I didn?t know what to expect with chiropractic care and was worried surgery was the only way out but after coming here I don?t think that way anymore. After only about a month I?m experiencing results and great improvements. I wanted to share my story to hopefully help others who are suffering from a pinched nerve or sciatica. I have had severe to moderate pain in my right let. I would be in great discomfort especially sitting for long periods. It was recommended that I see a chiropractor to help me. After the first visit I felt instant relief! In less than 4 weeks, I feel as if I had never had it. The added bonus here is the staff is wonderful! They always greet you by your first name and make you feel so comfortable!
