I recently went to Shail to have a link taken out for my brand new $150 watch. This turned out to be a disaster. It was immediately apparent that they did not have the right tools to take out the link as the woman behind the counter began pounding the watch with her tool and a hammer.
After 5 minutes, I said ""You know what, I would just like my watch back."" She replied, ""Hold on I almost have it"" and continued pounding away. When she 'finished' and returned the watch back, the sides of the watch were completely scratched and damaged. Also, one of the pins was not placed back in correctly, and was sticking out the side of the watch.
She assured me that the damage like this 'just happens' to gunmetal watches. Needless to say, I was furious. After she saw that I wasn't leaving, she called over the owner. The owner was very hesitant to fix the watch and attempted to say how they were known as the 'best in the area' and that this was an acceptable job.
I told the owner, Kultip, she would need to replace the watch. She laughed at the idea and seemed very disinterested in the damage her business caused. After a long discussion, I regretfully came to an agreement that she would order new links and replace those.
Well, it has been over 3 weeks. I have called the business twice and have received no response either time.
All in all, I found Shail to be very unprofessional with their treatment of customers. I would not recommend purchasing a product or service from the business. The lack of customer care and the ""NO REFUND"" policy printed in bold on their receipt is a perfect Mission Statement of their quality of service.
