THE FOLLOWING IS MY OPINION------I first had a failed prostate microwaving I was told worked on 90% of patients.....I then was told that a TRANSURETHRAL RESECTION OF THE PROSTATE or TURP would be the definitive therapy for my urinary trouble. I was damaged for life from THREE of them in only 4 months. I ended up with 80 plus percent penile nerve damage after TURP one, as confirmed by world famous Urologist IRWIN GOLDSTEIN in California --After TURP 3 I developed Peyronies Disease and it has been devistating. Neither problem was ever mentioned as a possible complication. I have had to have 2 other operations to fix comnplications of what his work caused. He used insulting language about my physical condition (gynocomastia) caused by a drug he used in the presence of his female nurse who was later my student. He demeaned physicians to me, inc one who practices cosmetic surgery in his building. He offered no help infinding anyone who know about the problems I had and misdiagnosed an inguilan hernia that resulted in weeks of un necessary pain. He failed to verify that I was numb on the first TURP and as a result of a failed spinal, I felt the instruments enter my body and the cutting start. After a failed spinal on TURP 2 he over my objection directed the anestheologist (Dr. Rayburn) to give me a general I DID NOT WANT. I filed charges on him and took him to court-- a first for me. My damage is live long and devistating. My advice is NEVER let this urologist touch you. I ended up worse than when I went in. ALso-- he never bothered to wear a mask in the operating room any of the 3 times he operated on me-- see PHOTO of him bare faced.
