Cynthia: Master Artist/Chemist of Colour 10/9/2012

I gave Seven four stars only because no one gives me a massage or serves champagne; otherwise, service is amazing because of Cynthia Dawson. Cynthia has done my colour for ten years and I've followed her as she made moves, when required. She's a chemist and an artist. She's treated my hair through cancer and its changes to my hair structure, kept it healthy and shiny when I felt at my worst and her sunny disposition introduces her clients to John Ballard and others at the salon, opening the door to new friendships and making this a bit of a place where people get to know one another, while maintaining a professional atmosphere. I would send anyone to Cynthia for colour, with no reservations whatsoever. more

John does miracles to your hair! I had my hair done at the Ritz, in Amelia Island Fl on Saturday, 3 days later the hair looked like it hasnt been done in 1 month.No joke :( It goes to show you that the best salon, or among the best, doesn't mean great results. I was in Atlanta doing some business and googled blonde specialist..a few salons came up but you can't deny 5 stars out 5 rating for SEVEN HAIR STUDIO. So went in, met John and lucky me, he would not let me go out on the street looking like I did, honestly I looked awful.. He fixed my color and hair cut and honest to God he has my business. He is worth 300 miles of driving! He has respect for the client, love for the hair and heart for a awesome color + cut. You won't regret it! Cheers J more

Seven Hair Studio is the Best! 3/29/2012

After 7 years with a stylist I knew I needed to make a change but finding someone new who can do my hair is HARD! Asking friends for referrals doesn't work because I have very thick wavy hair and no one I know has hair like mine. John Ballard was the 4th stylist I tried and I am thrilled to say I have found my new stylist. I love the salon, particularly how open and light it is. You can actually see the hair color so it looks the same in the salon as it does outdoors. Everyone there is friendly and John is amazing! He colored my hair beautifully and gave me the best haircut I have had in years. I've found my new home for hair. more

Best hair color around! 11/14/2011

This is my first review and perhaps my only until I have another exceptional experience such as this. I found John Ballard online after searching ""blonde hair expert"" - and that he was! I have been struggling for years to find someone to do the work John handled in just one visit. He is the only person I have found in Atlanta that was able to achieve exactly what I've always wanted. He magically worked lowlights and highlights into my hair the way no other hairdresser has been able to perform. All of this tied into amazing products (Pureology and Moroccan Oil are of my top favorites) for an extremely reasonable price. I could not be happier with my experience and for the first time have someone reliable and exceptional to return to! more

Best of The Best!!! 8/13/2011

I would like to recommend John Ballard at 7 Hair Studio to everyone! He is the only one I truly trust with my hair. I saw someone else once for a trim at a well known Buckhead salon, and I ended up with a ""modern-day mullet""! I returned to John and he has corrected that horrible cut! I have moved to Chattanooga, Tn and refuse to see anyone else! I travel to Atlanta every time I need a cut or color because he always makes my hair look its best! I have never had a bad experience from him. He is a wonderful person with an amazing talent!!! more

Seven is a TEN! 4/15/2011

Seven is above-and-beyond for a salon: talent, convenience, and fabulous atmosphere abound. John Ballard knows his stuff and I am hooked! John cut my hair (my second visit to Seven) this week in addition to coloring and applying the Keratin treatment. I have never had a haircut grow out so well (after the first visit) and John gave me a great cut again as well as the best color I have ever received. A friend recommended John to me when I was admiring her hair saying,""he is amazing in his knowledge of hair type and what is needed and with style in general"". She was so right! I left the salon with some of John's cards and, upon inquiries, handed them out at the ballpark at my children's game just three hours after I left the salon. I found myself using my friend's words of praise about John and his salon. Seven is WONDERFUL! more

I'm a recent transplant to Atlanta from Los Angeles-knowing no one here much less knowing anyone blonde in Atlanta-I did some on-line searching (risky but worth it-read on) and came across...John Ballard. WHAT A FIND!!! First off-a big thank you to the people who wrote the reviews because it helped to make a decision that proved to be a great one! I walked in to the studio with a head of hair that hadn't been touched in months, gray hair-blonde hair, brown hair (I know-hot), ends that were frayed beyond a worn rope, and a picture of what I hoped to get before I left. He immediately made me feel confident that he was the man for the job. And he was! I walked out with a gorgeous head of hair, glistening high and low lights and not a hint of gray (or at least that anyone could see). John made my hair fresh and fabulous and like I said to him, ""it's like waking up with a new outfit every day!"" THANK YOU John, THANK YOU city search-go see John-he ROCKS! more

Fabulous find! 1/14/2011

I am so happy that I found Seven Salon and John Ballard. I did some research and wanted someone who used the Global Keratin system and would take care of my overall hair color and treatment. John is a godsend! He is so professional, talented and a genuine person. The salon is peaceful and everyone is glad to see you....not the vibe of a typical Buckhead salon. I love my hair for the first time in my life...and am now a devoted client! more

The Salon Rocks. John Ballard is a very talented stylist w/ color and cutting. Well worth your drive and every penny of the cost. In and out quickly and your hair looks better and better as he manages your style over time. My wife and I both use John and enjoy our hair now more than ever. Go once, and you'll be hooked! more

Love this salon! 7/19/2010

John Ballard does such a great job with my hair. I have shoulder length, sandy blond hair and he makes my color look so natural. He listens to what I want and delivers! I have been coming to the salon now for a little over 3 years. My former hairdresser was undependable and took about 4 hours to do my hair (cut and color). With John, I am in and out of the salon in less than 2 hours! He is so efficient, professional, and talented. Also, my hair always looks amazilng! The location of the salon is close to my home with easy parking in a parking lot (no parking decks to deal with), and I love that it's open on Saturdays. Pros: prompt service, relaxed atmosphere, excellent cuts and color more

The Best 7/13/2010

I found John through a friend who had a cut that I loved. I was a recent NYC transplant then and had tried other expensive salons to no avail. I instantly thought that John had great skill as soon as he started cutting my hair. When I had my young children, to save time, I tried to find other salons closer to home (Dunwoody) but just was not satisfied with any of them. Now, I'm definitely back to stay. John listens to what I want and cuts with precision. He is always prompt (considerate of other people's time) and manages to make me feel and look great in a few minutes! I live in Peachtree City, Ga, and I make the commute to Buckhead (35 miles) because it is more than worth it! If I did not believe in John's talent and expertise, I wouldn't make the drive. I have never left the salon unsatisfied with the finished outcome. His knowledge of color, styling and cutting is unsurpassable. I'm a light blonde with shoulder length wavy hair. The blonde is so natural looking, and because he is so innovative, he adds different dimensions/shades of blonde to create an overall beautiful color. Subtle layers are also key for my hairstyle which makes it easy to blow dry straight or leave curly. I continue to get compliments and my hair looks and feels as healthy as it's ever been. Best place for hair in Atlanta 6/14/2010

A friend turned me on to John a few years ago when I was new to town, and I love his work. Best color and haircut. I had a scheduling conflict once and tried another salon. But came back quick because my shiny blonde hair was made dull and dry by the process in this other salon. He fixed me right back up to my favorite blonde color and I was receiving compliments same day. In addition to my full highlight and cut, I also do the Keratin straightener, and I LOVE IT! My curly/frizzy hair does not do well in this Atlanta humidity. With the Keratin treatment, I just blowdry and go. It saves me so much time in the morning! And when I go to the beach, no frizz! By Far...The Best Stylist in Atlanta! 5/11/2010

I am 27 years old and have been seeing John Ballard for a little over 7 years now. Not only am I an absolute perfectionist, but I require knowledge of product and quality cut/color by example. Every single person that I have referred to John has been astounded by his professionalism and laid back demeanor. He wants to give you exactly what you are looking for in your color or hair cut. I have been in the entertainment biz for about 9 years, so it is my job to look good! John has not only transformed my hair, but he has taught me how to maintain it; the tools to keep it as healthy as possible. I would recommend Seven Hair Studio to anyone who is needing a change in their overall ""look,"" or just needing a more experienced hair stylist. He isn't pushy...he will never tell you what he thinks you should do...he LISTENS! Which is the first and ONLY hair stylist I've encountered to do such a thing. I've recently discovered the all natural Brazilian hair straightening treatment through John Ballard at Seven Hair Studio. best color in atlanta 4/30/2010

My best friend recommeded John a year ago, she always has the best color among the girls. I gave up my girl I've had for years(her pale blonde coloring just got repetative and boring) and went to John for something new. He created a gorgeous warm carmel color for me with soft blonde highlights,that looks so natural and makes my skin glow. I absolutely would recommend John for the perfect color-just let him do his thing and you will be so happy with the results! Five Star Salon, 5 Million Star Haircut! 4/18/2010

I had very long hair and I wanted to donate it to Locks of Love. I did not have a particular short haircut in mind, but it didn't matter. John Ballard knew exactly what to do. I love that about a great stylist. He is clearly talented, extremely professional and knew exactly what to do to shape my face perfectly. He gave me a super sassy, chic, short haircut and I absolutely LOVE it! I have received so many compliments already!\r \r I have been going to Cynthia Dawson for my color for quite some time and I can't speak highly enough of her and the salon itself.
