Service Experts - NO 5/20/2012

If I could put NEGATIVE 5 I would.....long story short they came out for my spring A/C cleaning - my A/C was working FINE - they leave and an hr later no cold air was coming out - they came back and said my coil was leaking and we needed a new A/C system. So I said okay.........I paid $5k for a new A/C system which they installed wrong and b/c of that my hallway ceiling collapsed - there were also leaks in the line set and coolant was leaking - SO NO event though my warranty is w/Service Experts - I'll pay someone else - HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE DO NOT USE!!! more

Bad Service Or Worse? 8/30/2011

Poor Training or Much Worse? Posted by WPapanek on 08/30/2011 AC not working, service guy said it was either the Capacitor (relatively cheap) or the entire outside unit would have to be replaced for $2000 to $3000. Capacitor did not fix it so he called in another guy who turned out to be the Sales guy. Sales guy said unit was about 10 years old so we may as well replace the entire system for $6000 to $8000. I thought it was not that old and still under warranty so my wife showed him a receipt left by the previous home owner that showed the unit was only 7 years old. Sales guy told her that receipt was for something else and proceeded to sell us an $8000 unit. I got home from work and verified that it was the receipt and that it was under warranty (all it does is take a call to the manufacturer with the serial number that was on the receipt as well as the back of the unit). Then they tried to tell me the warranty would be only for the person who bought the unit but that is not correct either. I called in another company to do the warranty repair but within 5 minutes they had diagnosed it as a bad fan motor that cost $275 to repair. Just looking into the top of the unit you could see the grease leaking out of the fan motor, they didn't even have to take anything apart. Not sure: 1) why they missed that easy diagnosis 2) why they said the receipt was not for the unit 3) why they didn't know to call the manufacturer with the serial number from the back of the unit to find out if it was under warranty (you don't even need a receipt and Amana is not an uncommon brand) 4) not sure why they said the warranty would only apply to the original purchaser. I called in to find out some answers and someone was supposed to call me back but its been over a week and still nothing. more

No servicew, not experts 8/24/2011

I have used Peachtree Service Experts for years and I am not sure why - their company name contains two inaccurate words. They installed a new system in my home about three years ago. A year later they came out to do a service call and realized my system had not been set-up correctly - this does not imply there is an expert involved.\r \r The final straw has been the total lack of service. I have had three appointments set up in the past two weeks. Each time I call to check on the status of my appointment, they tell me I called and cancelled the appointment. I have not called to cancel any of the appointements. I am supposedly a preferred customer who pays a premium for this treatment.\r \r What a joke. more

RIP-OFF BIG TIME 7/24/2011

This company tried to charge me $471 for a part that cost them less than $50. I call this unethical and down right criminal. The tech was nice enough to show me the company's price book. RIP OFF COMPANY.....WATCH YOUR BACK WITH THESE FOLKS. more

This was an emergency service call.... 11/23/2010

This was an emergency service call -- after hours on a Sunday night at my in-law's residence... bitter cold and heat out.The technician (Sean Lee -- Number 050-10128) juggled his workload and convinced another customer to ""wait"" until after he was able to restore service at the hoime of my 87 year old invalided mother-in-law. He arrived at about 11:30 PM instead of the foprecasted 3-4:00 AM the following morning. Diagnosis of he problem (burned out circuit board) was covered by extended warranty and, fortunately, the technician had a replacement board on his truck. more

Once again, Peachtree Service Experts stand above all others. I called yesterday morning @ 8:30 AM with a problem with my downstairs A/C. By 3:30 PM that same day, a technician diagnosed and fixed my problem. He explained what had occurred and was extremely polite and courteous. He is a true credit to your fine organization. VERY BIG THANKS to my installer 9/22/2010

Big thanks to Eric M. - my Comfort Advisor and a VERY BIG THANKS to my installer, Salil C who did an excellent install of my new Trane xV80 last Tuesday. They were very courteous and knowledgeable. I needed to have a little tape re-taped on a pipe by the tvx coil today but they did an excellent job and my family and I want them to be recognized for a job well done. I will be telling all two thousand homeowners in Water's Edge about them. Please let them know how much we appreciate the good job they did. Well done and thanks again. more

I am a Realtor with Keller Williams. I realized at 11:00 AM on the day of closing on a house, that the seller had not had the HVAC service per the contract. I called your company and expected to be told that a service call would be 3 to 4 weeks out (because of the extreme heat we were having.) To my surprise, I was told that someone would be there in a couple of hours. One of your technicians arrived promptly at 3:00PM the same day and serviced the HVAC in time to make our closing. He was very pleasant, professional and perfect! Thanks for the great job! I will pass your name along to others. more

Excellent experience. 4/15/2010

I have been doing business with Peachtree for 14 years and have had nothing but excellent service. Technicians ALWAYS come within the two hour schedule window, and they ALWAYS call to say they are on their way. Customer service has ALWAYS been excellent, helpful and courteous. When I have had a system go out, I have ALWAYS been offered an emergency service appointment. Replacement parts can be expensive but when Peachtree is providing installation and a guarantee, what can you expect? I can purchase the parts on my own but would have to hire someone to install them. more

I called because my A/C was not working. They said someone will come out that very evening, ""because we serve our customers 24/7."" So I waited around in the heat. They didn't come, but called at 9:30 and said they weren't coming- great. They said they could come the next afternoon at 2:00 and would call and give me 30 warning, so I could meet them. Changed appts, etc. to be there. They called less than an hour before and said they overbooked and would not be able to come today, but maybe Thursday (two days later). It is 93 degrees out and my dog and family are melting. They talk about being professionals... don't believe it. Pros: Nothing... they never came. Cons: Uhh... everything. more

They are one ot the worst service providers out there. They don't show up when they're suppose to and don't provide you with good customer service. I would not recommend them to anyone. more

price gougers 10/28/2008

Peachtree Service Experts tried to sell the ?Maintenance Service Plan? more than anything. I was not interested in this plan, I just wanted my air conditioning fixed. They tried to corner me into paying $350 for a start capacitor. I later found the same part at a local retailer for $38. They were asking $159 for the run capacitor which I found for $18.99. When I told the guy that these prices seemed high and I wanted to look into them, he told me unless I paid $280 for the Maintenance Service Plan, he would charge me to come back out.\r I ordered the ?tune up?. None of my intakes had filters on them and the guy only replaced one filter in the air handler. My air conditioner would turn on before he got there and once he left it did not work at all. I paid him $138 for the visit. I suppose this was for the filter. If he had fixed the problems it would have totaled around $900.\r I had another company come out (JB COOL) and they fixed everything for $220. Now I my A/C is right.\r I called Peachtree Service Experts and spoke with Randy Wendall about the 100% Satisfaction Guarantee they advertise on the radio (I am obviously unsatisfied) and he told me that he did not think these prices were unfair. If you ask me this is price gouging. They did not give me any of my money back and would not honor their so called 100% satisfaction guarantee.\r more

I'm shocked to hear the bad reviews. I've never had anything but outstanding service from Peachtree. They call to set my regular appointments, and keep calling if I don't respond. The technician always calls when he is on his way and shows up on time. All personnel has been polite and efficient.\r \r A happy customer more

Unbelievably Poor Customer Service 6/6/2008

This is the first time I've ever felt compelled to rate a business, but I had such a terrible experience with Peachtree Service Experts, I thought it best to share. I called Peachtree Service Experts during a stretch of 90 degree weather in June when my air conditioning stopped working all together. I called Peachtree Service Experts after scheduling appointments with their competitors for 2 and 4 days out hoping they could help me sooner. I was able to make an appointment for the next day. I got a message 6 hours later that my appointment had been cancelled because I wasn't a ""priority customer"". When I called to try to understand the issue, I only met with rude and unhelpful customer service representatives. I asked to speak with a manager and after waiting on hold for 15 minutes was promptly hung up on. I will never be a customer of Peachtree Service Experts and hope you don't become one either. Peachtree Service Experts doesn't honor their commitments unless they consider you a ""priority customer"". Cons: Customer Service more
