I found a vet that cares! 1/21/2010

My first visit to Seminole Animal Hospital was Christmas eve. It seems like my vet and every other vet in the area was closed or too busy to see my dog who had developed the sniffles overnight. Dr. Borgman fit us into his busy schedule and spent quality time helping us. A few days later when the bloodwork results were in it was the VET who called to tell us is was clear, not someone from his office. I've never actually gotten this great of service before. A week after our visit the office staff, who are much friendlier than most places I've been to, called to check up on my dog. It may not look like much but I'd recommend this place to anyone. more

They treated us with such care, and we didn't even know them 8/15/2009

I called out of the blue on a Sat. morning, needing to have my beloved 15 yr. old dog put down. Never heard of me or my dog, previously. My vet was closed but the staff sent me to Seminole Animal Hosp. and were willing to fax records to them. No need, Jessica (staff) and the Dr. said after my phone conversation.I was worked in, they didn't waste my money by charging for physical exams, bogus tests, and treated me with sympathy and consideration. Provided coffee and tissues, and the Dr. took his time, and explained everything and was as tender as a professional undertaker. Comforted me when I told him my kids were angry at my decision, and reassured me. Thanks so much for making a wrenching experience into an uplifting one. Pros: Reasonable, clean, bright, professional, respectful, smart Cons: None, except they are far from me, but so worth it. more

Dr. Borgman, Staff & Family 7/8/2009

Dr.Borgman and his staff are awesome.\r \r Our puppy developed bordatella ( kennel cough) when she was allowed to leave the breeders to a pet shop not having been vacinated for Bordatella because she had a hernia and her fontanelle had not completley closed.\r Buggles developed a nasty cough that sounded like she was having an asthma attack.\r Dr.Borgman sat with us and explained the whole disease process and what to expect. Dr>borgman even saw us when I was a bit scared about her cough. Again he reassured me that all was going accordingly and that Buggles may even have a few collapsing trachea which is common in her breed...\r Buggles loves seeing everyone at Dr.Borgmans and even sits like a lady when she recieves her puppy manicure.\r \r \r I highly reccomend Dr.Borgman and his staff. Pros: True Empathy, Compassion and Care for Pets and Family more

Seminole Animal Hosptial Highly Recommend!!!! 1/27/2009

Dr. Borgman has a convenient location. The Seminole Animal Hospital in on W. 25th street just over the railroad tracks. When we first visited their office, Dr. Borgman gave me a tour of their facility and answered any questions or concerns I had. My 10 year old dog was going to have to be sedated to get his teeth cleaned and I was so nervous, because I had heard that it was risky to put an older dog under anestesia. Dr. Borgman did all the preliminary testing to make sure his heart and other organs were all functioning well. He is truly a loving, caring doctor who loves his job and cares for his little furry patients. He's not one of those doctors who rushes in and out either. He takes his time and addresses all concerns. \r They have late hours twice a week, so it is helpful to be able to go after work. I went by one day, not knowing that they were closed that day, just to get my dogs nails trimmed, because I'm visually impaired, and Dr. Borgman even offered to clip them anyway if I wanted. I didn't do it then, because I didn't want to bother him while he was feeding the animals or checking on pets who had had recent surgery. \r They also have a credit plan which allows you to pay monthly, and even no interest for so many days, depending on the cost to be financed. It's the only way I could work it out and get my dog's needs taken care of, because it can be costly from time to time. \r I would highly recommend Seminole Animal Hospital & Dr. Borgman to anyone looking for a new vet. He really cares about taking care of anmals. Pros: Late Hours, Convenient Location, Payment Plans with no interest more

PAYMENT PLAN - GREAT VET - LATE HOURS 10/23/2008

Two weeks ago my pet got into some thing from the garbage. She was throwing up and shaking. I was so scared she was going to die. I wasn't sure what she had eaten. I called my normal vet at Lake Emma but their office was closed. I had never been to Dr Borgman before but had driven past the building on my way to Heathrow and remembered they had later hours. Dr. Borgman was very compassionate and did an awesome job as she is doing great and is fully recovering. Obviously I was expecting a huge bill with the bloodwork and xrays and stuff. They actually had a payment plan so even though it wasn't really cheap - I am able to pay a little at a time each month. I also was able to get her all up to date on her shots because I was putting it off with the economy being so bad so from now on - I am a loyal customer of Dr Borgmans! Pros: Payment Plan - Awesome Vet - Late Hours Cons: Didn't Know They Were Open - Building Hard To See more

Treated me & my puppy as if we were family! 9/12/2007

I found out about Dr Borgman through a friend at work. My dog had a mass on the back of his leg and had been scratching his ears a lot lately. I brought Max in and was surprised at how calm he was (usually he is so anxious at the vet we used to go to)! The staff was very warm and welcoming. They brought us right into a room without making us sit in the waiting room. Dr Borgman was very through and helpful. He explained why he was doing each test for the ears and recommended we remove the mass. I was kind of nervous with him going under anesthesia but Dr Borgman showed me the surgical area and explained how they do all the surgeries sterile like a human hospital and that the type of anesthesia was safe especially with all the monitoring equipment they have. I was still a little nervous though but the surgery went really well and the hair has grown back so you can hardly see a scar. I think Max is much more comfortable now and I was thrilled to find out it was not cancer. I thought it was really awesome that the staff called me at my office to let me know Max was ok after the surgery. They also called me the next day to make sure all was well and that Max was feeling good. And then I got another call when the results of the biopsey came back from Dr Borgman. This type of personal service and speedy follow up made me really feel like they cared about Max as if he was one of their pets. It is nice to see this type of service alive and well in Lake Mary! I have this special blue stuff to clean out Max's ears and Dr Borgman showed me how to tilt the head and scrunch the ear to get it all clean. We are going to get Max's vaccines in the next few weeks. As previous post mentioned - not the cheapest in town but totally worth the money when you get this type of attention and care for your loved ones! Pros: Attention to pet, follow up, calming pets & owners, diagnosed & fixed ears! more

Evening Hours are awesome - Very Caring Doctor and Staff! 1/16/2007

I have gone to a couple vets in the area and found Dr Borgman to be exceptional. He answered all my questions when my Mitsy was sick. I have been back there several times and was impressed with how thoughtful the staff was each time. I am handcapped and when I called ahead they even came out to help me get my pet in and out. The evening hours are great so you don't have to sit in a vet all Saturday morning. They are not the cheapest vet in town (head to the SPCA for that!) but I think the personal attention and medical care my baby gets is worth a couple bucks more. Pros: Evening Hours, Awesome Vet who answers questions more
