Beaufort Select Physical Therapy is proud to introduce our Aquaciser spinal/extremity unloading training device to our Beaufort Physical Therapy clients. This training tool allows early dynamic balance and accommodative resistance while performing functional standing and gait related tasks. It has the ability to infinitely control water volume depth (up to 75% relief of body weight) in order to provide spinal unloading for weight sensitive patients that have an intact skin condition. Unlike other aquatic therapy programs, our water temperature meets the American Arthritis Foundation requirement, offers individual therapist attention, and has continuously filtered/conditioned water that meets the quality standards of D.H.E.C. Any clients that have had post operative surgery for the shoulder, back, hip, knee, and ankle would benefit from this unique training device. Beaufort has successfully implemented a Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy program at the Beaufort facility. Participation into the program is through Physician referral only. Most problems are resolved in 4-8 visits and include a custom home exercise program that will allow maximum independence and customer safety.
